Scanning in WH seems to be broken. Back to the days of the mystery sigs and chasing your tail have returned. I have tried 10 different sigs and they all disappear upon going down to 8 AU probes. Nice we have a new warp trail Back in Time.

then PI in lowsec? I don't see what the problem here is.

When in hangar, windows randomly disappearing...

Chat seems to be inoperative when this happens.....

Other than this, so far a very shiny expansion!!

Oh yeah, almost forgot - This new font is all Love!! I'm almost 60, and might be able to play now without my reading glasses !!

Age does not diminish the extreme disappointment of having a scoop of ice cream fall from the cone.

Crucible patch is broken.
3 installations consisting of 2x Vista 32bit and 1x Win7 64bit with up to date M$ patching

All 3 installations were damaged andno longer functioning. All buttons have wierd text that could be mistaken for CSS code and text boxes etc have no contents which you are unable to accept the required EULA.

Tab key isn't changing focus (between username & pw) on the login screen anymore which is kind of annoying.

edit: sorry...it is changing focus but nothing is selected to start with. Once I click one of the fields I can use tab to to move between them

  • As others have mentioned, the updater downloads and extracts everything to my poor little SSD C: drive. Not good. Barely even possible in fact. Please add an option to choose a more suitable location for these large operations.

  • With the UI at 90% I can get as least as much info in the same area as before, but it doesn't look good. Maybe I will get used to it. But I will not get used to the numbers that show ammo in my turrets, or quantity of stuff in my cargo/hangars. It's too small and wierdly spaced out. I have how many nanotransistors? Ideally, bring the old font back. It wasn't broken. If not, fix the new one please.

PC, Windows 7, 64-bit

3 issues:

EVE client thinks that "Show Window Identification" is optional. In order to get it working I have to go to options and to uncheck/check it after logging in each of my characters.

Login screen: if I start the client in the background and switch to it from another application I have to manually click in either user name or password field before I can tab between those fields or the login button. Previously, if the focus was not in the login dialog I could just tab once to get to it.

The new bookmark creation window, folder drop down list: the list of folders appears to be randomly ordered. Could we get the list alphabetically sorted? Preferably using the same rules as used in People and Places... so we can use space and non-letter/number characters to force certain folders to the top of the list.

Noticed a few things.

  • When fitting in space, there is a large amount of lag when putting on modules and onlining them within range of a ship maintenance array. It gets very choppy.

  • When throwing drones into your dronebay from a ship maintenance array or carrier, the drone UI does not come active. You need to relog for this to happen.

  • The font size of the lowest text for the UI is not very good. It is far too small and with certain character combinations, the letters are not spaced far enough apart. It looks like big blocks.

Old bugs reintroduced:
1. cargo cans open always in the middle of the screen no matter where you move them, also not remembering size
2. when double click on mission in journal after relogging - mission description opens somewhere on the screen even if it was stacked before

Patch failed, repair.exe failed..., running repair.exe again, now needs over an hour to calculate the patch...

what a mess... Please CCP, please please please, TEST things before you bring them live! It not that hard of a concept to comprehend. It's kind like common practice you know..

Used to have this bug when using SMA in the past. The fix was to open the drone bay and launch one or more drones using right-click. That would bring the Drones window back without having to log.

Awesome update, everything is so shiny!
Couple of things....

1. Confirming what someone else said, opening cans always results in them opening in the centre of the screen regardless of how you repositioned the screen on last open.

2. Wrecks that have been looted but not salvaged (because they would disappear) do not show on the overview. Other wrecks show just fine. I tried removing them from the overview and re-adding them but to no avail.

3. Cloaking a purifier makes it virtually invisible now, very hard to figure out where it is on the screen. Is this an intentional change?

4. Opening items on the neocom for the first time, shunts the left hand windows up. My local window shot off the top of the screen leaving only the chat box behind, had to log out and in to get them reset.

5. Couple of non descript crashes here and there, once in the middle of a pretty big rat fight with a ton of wrecks around, another while warping to a belt - hopefully your new auto reporting crash log works ;)

Love everything else, so far... ;)

End of Line.

Defect: The EVE program no longer has an option to display the character name in the program's window title in WinXP/Win7. So now if I have 2 or 3 clients minimized, I can't tell at a glance which character is in which program window.

Or rather - it works sometimes, but not other times. (Seen on WIn7 64bit.)

First of all, wish I could stay more ingame to admire the changes. I was unable to stay more than 30 minutes because:
a) The font is awful - basically, they used the worst possible font. I suspect they had a list with fonts, from 1 to n and somebody wanted to play a joke and reversed the list... There's no other logical explanation for using such a crappy font for such a great expansion. This font literally gave me a headache withing first 10-15 minutes !
b) Jita was down, making me unable to log in at some point.

Secondly, here's a tip for those with low-space on their HDD. Let's say you only have 4 Gb available
step 1: you download the latest patch from the website, so you can place it wherever you want ( for example on a partition with more free space ). File is named: evepremiumpatch306979-321452_m.exe. Now you have 4 Gb - 1.2 Gb = 2.8 Gb free on partition C. Moving the file to another partition or a memory stick, frees the space, so you'll have 4GB again.
step 2: you run that .exe, which will create 2 files: one .7z files, which can be opened with a file extracting utility ( a 1.2 Gb, big size) and another .exe ( 1-2 MB, small size ). Those files will be placed into the temporary folder ( eg: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_WINDOWS_USER\Local Settings\Temp ). Once again, you can do the copy trick: copy these files to a partition with more free space. Continue with the install untill you get the error for not having enough space. After aborting the instalation, automatically clears the eve files from temp folder. Your space is now: 4GB - 1.2GB = 2.8GB. After moving these two files to another partition or to a memory stick, the free space is, again, 4GB.
step 3: run the small .exe ( 1-2 MB size ) from the location you copied it and wait: it will decompress/extract the 7z file into 3.4GB of data, so your free space will be around 0.4 GB now.
step 4: after the expansion installs, click ok when asked about erasing the downloaded content and your free space will become, once again, 4GB.
So, instead of using 1.2GB (file evepremiumpatch306979-321452_m.exe ) + another 1.2GB ( 1.2MB .exe + 1.2GB .7z file ) + 3.4GB ( decompressed data ) = 5.8GB, you only use 4GB on that partition.

This tutorial/tip is only useful if you're low on space on the partition where EVE will try to unzip the data by default ( on your temp folder ).
Also, don't forget to turn on "Show hidden files and folders" in windows, because the Local Settings is "hidden" in Windows XP.

Once again: remove that font or give us an alternative! Not only it's ugly, but it's so big that, along with the "Great Wall of China", you can see it from the Moon !!!

I have problems on all chars with some windows not showing. I first started noticing when I didn't have a drone control thingy. Ctrl-Tabbing conformed the window was there, but just not in view.

Minimized all windows one by one in the hopes of getting it to come out, no cigar. Then I adjusted the screen resolution of the game to the lowest possible setting, causing all my windows to go all over the place. Still no luck. Then switched back to the normal resolution and finally the drone control showed up in the bottom right.

Having the same problem with the watchlistwindow in fleet. Haven't found a way to get that to show up. The resolution change doesnt seem to affect thatCry
