Rescue Report:

116.03.10 18:24 (no pilot: transcription error) 32 Slaves, 13 Slaver Hounds, 20 Freedom Fighters, 7 Slavers)
116.03.11 00:14 Ollimor 15 rescued

A gentle reminder to all who would engage in rescue work: There is no regular mechanism to hand over rescued slaves to non-capsuleer entities apart from selling them to that entity after which they are part of the SCC controlled slave market. The only known exception to this rule would be if specific and special dispensation were arranged through a representative from that entity or rather the faction that the entity represents. Since I have been a capsuleer I know of only one time that this has occurred that being the arrangement between Freedom Extention/RSS and Gradient/EM to repatriate a large number of slaves from the Mandate. Other than that, I've never seen it reported or verified in any way.

The slave market is not SCC controlled. The Amarrian market principally happens between baseliners with no interaction with the SCC. The SCC is only the medium through which capsuleer purchases and sales are made. And as seen with a simple check of Ardishapur Family's economic profile and market activity records, they do not perform sales of slaves on the SCC--they only purchase them. The only way those slaves could get back on the SCC would be if Holders of House Ardishapur then transferred them to the Civic Court through baseliner markets, or began direct sale onto the SCC themselves--which they have no moral nor legal reason to do (and many reasons not to). Also, going through a direct representative would function no differently--the slaves would still end up in the hands of Holders of the Ardishapur Family, who could theoretically then put them on the SCC or transfer them to the Civic Court. But as the Holders of the Ardishapur Family are righteous and hold to proper tradition, there is little threat of them delivering or selling slaves on the SCC or to Civic Court when it is known that the Court immorally sells to commoners.

It is illegal for commoners to possess slaves without a License to Enslave or Custodial Servitude Contract (which both come with multiple stipulations and restrictions). It is illegal for non-Holders to emancipate slaves whom are the property of the Empire, unless that slave was wrongly taken to begin with. I cannot legally or morally keep possession of these slaves (and I don't have the facilities for them, even if I could). The proper action when coming into possession of a slave is to deliver that slave to an appropriate entity--a licensed Slaver or Holder. And I would rather deliver them to the domains of His Majesty The Heir Ardishapur than to capsuleer Holders, which is my only other option.

While I greatly respect the Disciples of Ston for their humanitarian efforts in the rescue of abandoned slaves, as an Amarrian commoner I cannot in good conscience or legal standing condone the holding and emancipation of slaves by commoners in such matriculation centers as the Disciples use. For my part I take no action against the Disciples' efforts, in recognition of their humanitarianism, but when I personally come into possession of rescued slaves I shall continue delivering them to the proper authorities.

Rescue and confiscation Report:

116.03.06 confiscation 50 tons small arms (137.5 tons since patrolling began Zoohen to Diaderi)
116.03.08 14:36 Klaud Shanur 10
116.03.11 14:41 54 Slaves (in Emsar on the Concord side expecting weapons or material contraband)
116.03.11 15:01 Deffka SV, 2 and 15

Since patrolling between Zoohen and Diaderi, I have confiscated 137.5 tons of small arms. This area of patrol contains multiple crossings (Amarr, Gallente, and Concord). As such it is a ripe zone for terrorist and militant activity. Knowing that these weapons will never make it on the streets nor harm innocent citizens is a good feeling. The rescue of 54 Slaves was unexpected. Protocol dictates that with confiscations, the transfer is made quickly and cloak activated immediately when possible. Once a can is looted, owner information is no longer accessible. In this case we followed protocol as if conducting a confiscation and so missed the pilot info.

I don't really understand this talk about "mechanisims" but I can assure you there are ways to free slaves without following the bureaucracy in place by the SCC.

I'm not yet assured. Let me explain what I mean by "mechanisms." A "mechanism" is a capsuleer accessible means of changing the disposition of something in your possession, in this case rescued slaves. My challenge to Samira Kernher was not to criticize her confidence in the Family Ardishapur. She may or may not be correct in her assessment of their fidelity and integrity. That isn't my axe to grind. My point was simply that her use of the word "delivered" is a euphemism for "sold." Selling is the only available "mechanism" to put slaves in your possession into their possession. Those who make claims to the contrary have yet to provide evidence.

What I press with you I do so not to irritate you or antagonize you. On the contrary, if you have found a "mechanism" to do what you mentioned with the SOE regarding rescued slaves, then I would very much like to know and would be interested in participating. That said, let me re-iterate, Sister Alitura does not receive rescued slaves. There is no mechanism by which she will do this. You cannot sell them to her and cannot give them into her possession. I would gladly receive proof to the contrary. That might assure me.

Now, here are possible alternative mechanisms. If you could convince Anza Sagera (Sister Of Light, Aulari Chapter, Sisters of EVE) to set up a direct station trade with you, she could receive rescued slaves. Captain Mintor, if you can swing this, please let me know as I am sure some within our Matriculation program would take that opportunity. Again, this is what I mean by "mechanism." Such a transaction bears evidence and can be proven by corroborating testimony. Likewise, if captain Kernher could convince Ohrud Omel (Grand Inquisitor, Throne Worlds Chapter, Ministry Of Internal Order) to set up a direct station trade, then the "delivering" would not be "selling," direct station trade, being the mechanism used for such transactions.

Is there any precedent for my claims in this matter? Yes there is. As mentioned earlier, Gradient/EM used direct station trade with a representative from FE/RSS to free and repatriate 1.3 million slaves from the Mandate. That was the "mechanism."

Why change the disposition of something (in this case someone) on the SCC market, when it is preferable to remove it from the market altogether?

This is what we do. Those who enter the DSTON Matriculation program are never again sold for any reason, ever. How would you accomplish removing a living person from the market altogether? (Slave, Slaver, Freedom Fighter, Freed Slave, etc.)

I do not deny that my transfer of slaves to Ardishapur Family entails the standard 834.75 isk price per slave, and I apologize if my posts have implied otherwise.

Slaves I pick up are sold to Ardishapur Family for the standard price, under the understanding that they will be put under the care of responsible Ardishapur Family Holders. I do not do this for personal profit, as 834.75 isk is a very small amount and at that price it would take several thousand slaves simply to pay off the cost of the ship I put together explicitly for making pickups in the Niarja area.

I see nothing wrong with this arrangement. Ardishapur Family has a demand for slaves and puts up regular buy orders to meet that demand, and as demonstrated by their market activity they can be trusted to not sell those slaves to unqualified commoners through the SCC. The buying and selling of slaves is a part of Amarr society; the main issue in this matter is in the sale of slaves to those who have neither the legal nor moral authority to care for them--people like Nauplius.

If I should contact the Honorable Grand Inquisitor Omel, it would be in regards to the immoral sales made by the Civic Court. I would not presume to overstep my place and take up the Grand Inquisitor's time with direct transfers when other arrangements are already available.

Why can't the slaves be free? Why must we take them to holders that say they will be benevolent to the slaves? A slave is still a slave, no matter the kindness of the holder.

2014-03-12 23:10 7 Slaves
2014-03-12 00:11 51 Slaves

75 Slaves. Chained. Collared. Flown the many jumps from Niarja to Mehatoor by my new Re-Enslaver pilot (to replace Calyce Io whose performance has inexplicably faltered). Unloaded.

And what was the first thing the slaves laid eyes upon in Mehatoor? Not the idyllic agro-dome of the Disciples of Ston Matriculation Centers. Something far more glorious in the service of God — my newest Starship, the Ashummu-class RKS Bloodletter, a ship purchased for one purpose and one purpose only — blooding.

What a glorious thing it was to see the expressions on the slaves as they realized what awaited them! The horror, O the horror! That abject terror that all (expect the Caldari) must once again feel before God's Chosen people! And so it shall be.

And the 75 slaves were drained of blood, and one part of the blood offered unto God, and the second part drunk deep. Amen. Amarr Victor.

116.03.12 20:01 Space Melody 135 rescued
116.03.12 20:27 Adun Torida 33 rescued

The Matriculation Center in Kaaputenen is a good new start for former slaves rescued from deathcans. There is medical attention, good food, clean clothing, a growing community of rescued people, educational and vocational opportunities and a beautiful agri-dome with good habitation areas for individuals and families. These 187 begin their new journey here and we hope one day that all slavery will end and that all those who cross the border into free space will automatically obtain legal, free status. In the mean time, we will strive to do what we can.

I anticipate that soon, I will be rotated out of patrol duty in the Niarja corridor and the crews of the Plowshare will be given a much needed rest. I will be heading toward the Madate/Republic border to tend to our Matriculation Centers there. The Plowshare will be left behind and I will be piloting the DSS Grimke donated to us some time ago. It should be a fine ship for patrols at the Mandate/Republic crossing while I am there.

I have now made the transition to Mandate/Republic territory for a change of pace and duty. This report is a couple days old since I didn't manage to make it before leaving for Tanoo. Ston will be in the Niarja corridor until he rotates with Manwe. We are not yet sure when that will occur. Staff and facility evaluations are one priority as I am in Mandate and Republic space. These 20 slaves doubtless thought they were special. "Elite," they were called. But they met the same fate as all subhuman Minmatar filth who fall into the hands of a holy and righteous God.

They were flown by my associate Rhexenor Io to the Bonfire in the Munory system. There, I took the glorification of God to a new level as they were jettisoned into the fire, burned alive as a sacrifice onto a holy and righteous God. Amen. Amarr Victor.
