SEPA is a regulation for inter-bank payment transfers in the EU zone (plus some countries who voluntary joined the agreement). Nobody else than banks are "forced" to use SEPA. So, many people have never heard about SEPA.
Additionally, the introduction of SEPA was postponed by 6 months. I think the new date is now the 1. August.

On the internet, you can be whatever you want to be. It is amazing that so many people chose to be stupid.

I had no idea it got postponed. I admit my ignorancelack of research on the matter and apologize. :/

I knew it was EU only. I personally do feel forced, because they removed the old option completely. The face that it was missing on the web interface on CCPs site baffled me completely, because I didn't know it got pushed to August. :( That being said, there's no guarantee CCP will have managed to do it right until then... xD

bingo, his pig not being a goat doesn't make the pig wrong, just him an idiot for shouting at his pig "WHY ARENT YOU A GOAT!" (Source)

I think it is the fault of the banks. Many started far too late to look into the topic.
On the other hand, payment service is not really a cash cow for banks. Often banks provide a payment service because their banking license depends on them doing so. This makes payments not an area where a lot of investment goes.

I don't use PayPal.

It's funny how so many give advises nobody actually asked for.

You didn't ask for advice at all. You asked for similar experiences. Those I have seen yet.
