UI
• The Starmap is starting up now twice as fast

Dear CCP, the starmap is "convoluted" at best.

I hardly use it, and many probable don't even know yet that it can be used when forming fleets to track other fleet members.
It somewhat shows you where the others are "relative" to you, but a good sense of LY or jumps can hardly be taken from that starmap.

Yes I know about the fleet UI option: Show Fleet Composition, and love the iteration on it when someone is docked and now it updates better

Who cares about LY?
Literally that's only applicable if you're using a jump drive, and that has its own dedicated window that tells you this information exactly.

I use it a lot, and in unflattened form it is excellent also for seeing jump ranges.
The flattened map isn't very useful, yet this seems to be what most people use.

Also GTS does this much better anyway.

I would say the people that care about LY are the people using jump drives.

The map would not be an appropriate tool for this anyway. There are third party tools that handle this so much better.
Besides, most of the time I don't care because someone else has already worked it out for me and has placed cynos accordingly.

You say this without any satire.

People traveling should not be expected to use the map.

Map could indeed do with some mc lovin

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Map is fine if you unflatten it.
