Character Sheet Question

so on my Character Sheet next to my avatar is says "Skill Points 698,055 (53 Skills)" but when I go to my Skills tab is says "Current Skills: 53 (Skill Points 1,026,198).

So which number is the number I need to pay attention to when I am looking at upgrading my clone?

is the higher number because I have skills training and in queue so that is the projected total when they are done?

thanks

It may be some sort of bug, you may have to clear your cache. I just checked mine and both are showing the exact amount. If nothing else I would buy a clone that can carry the higher amount just in case. It isn't majorly expensive with the sp of your character, unlike the 71 mil sp clo9ne i have to buy lol

I believe the skill points listed next to your character avatar is only updated at downtime. Generally the Skillpoints listed in the skills tab is the most up-to-date skill point count. Strangely, the difference between the two counts is unusually large, as gaining 300k SP in a single day doesn't make sense. Without some training speed booster, the most you can earn is 2700 SP/hr, or 65k a day.

If trying to keep your clone up to date, just make sure your clone grade is high enough to cover the largest number of skill points listed.

I have the beta clone which is a mil and some change ... and I did queue up like 20 skills last night before I logged most of then only training to skill 1 and then rounded the rest off with 2 skill 3 ones. and I have no skill training boots that I know of .. I am only like 18-19 days old so just been training everything I can get my hands on so I might have bugged it.

regardless I am going to make sure my clone is enough to match the high number just incase.

Thanks for the replys

think i might have found the culprit this just doesn't look right

Training Skill 2 of:
Trajectory Analysis (5x)
SP: 305,800 / 7,072

Question:
What is the (5x) mean?

most my other ones only have (2x) (1x) and some (3x)

There was some funky stuff at downtime with things not being properly updated (see the asteroid belt not respawning thread in GD) so it may have something to do with that.

Skill sheet does not include points in the currently training skill.

I'm suspicious it also doesn't include any partially trained skill, but I've not verified that.

I really don't trust the 'Current skill points' in these forums anymore.

At one point it claimed that I had over 70 million skill points, on a 6 months old character. (Your oddity in Trajectory Analysis looks just like that bug.) There are weird things going on when counting partially trained skills, especially your currently training skill.
The in-game number is better, but it does not update in the middle of a skill training - i.e. if you are training a long skills, those skill points will only be added to the in-game total when you pause your skill queue or when the skill completes.

Nowadays I trust EVE-Mon more than numbers from CCP for my total skill points.

Thanks everyone, I was just curious since I'm at work and messing around on the forums and looking at my profile I can't log into the game to check reference that to what I can see here so thought I would ask since I am new and not sure how all the numbers are suppose to work/look.

The X# refers to the multiplier of the skill the x1 is the lowest type x2 is twice as long x3 is three times as long as on I believe the hardest/longest are X12 and they are the Titan skills ultimately it makes little difference as you can find training times easier then trying to do the calculations.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post
