Remove Prop Mod Mass from external formula

Prop mods give a huge increase in mass while in use in order to balance the agility of the ship. Hooray. This has unintended consequences, including abusing the poor collision mechanics (bumping), accidentally (or not) collapsing wormholes, and wasting jump fuel, causing many tears to l33t pvp'ers.

To fix this, remove the added mass created by active prop mods (MWD, AB) from all calculations except the agility of the ship that has the module fitted. This will eliminate all unintended effects.

I think first you would need to show that those effects are actually unintended.

They make no intuitive sense. If they were intended, then CCP is very silly.

Ok, so that goes without saying, but still. They are silly effects.

They make perfect sense and are working as intended.

Why not talk about the fact that Eve space is based on water physics, if you have an axe to grind about sense?

The only potentially 'unintended' consequence is how bumping a slow ship above it's maximum speed takes it forever to slow down.

When the Warp drive should be exerting tremendous force to slow the ship down so it should take seconds to slow down to it's maximum speed. That scaling change of deceleration when above maximum speed would solve most of the 'bumping' cases which feel like exploits, while keeping bumping as a viable mechanic to prevent alignment if done well.

It's hard to put into words how I feel about the OP. This link is the best I could come up with.

Sweeping gameplay changes with no justification other than you, personally, disliking the mechanic in question.

Yeah, see, that's not a good reason to change anything.
