My Venture was destroyed (but I bought the Platinum Insurance), my pod was also destroyed but I bought a clone. I was wondering is there anyway to retrieve item in your ships cargo hold (besides trying to fly back and looting the wreck if the enemy hadn't looted it already)?

May I request CCP assistance in giving me back my Pilot Certification Documents that you receive from completing the pilot training tutorial that certifies you as a bonified Capsuleer? The item isn't called Pilot Certification Documents, its called "Freedom something something" if I recall.

The only way to get things back, is flying back to your wreck and hoping that:
A: they dropped
B: They weren't taken by someone else.

And I seriously doubt that CCP will give you anything back. It's not something that they do.

Woo! CSM XI!

Nope, the only ways to get some of your stuff back are to either loot the wreck, or ask your killer really nicely if he has it. Not everything survives.

The certificate isn't important, it's strictly a vanity item and has no use in the game, if you really want one contact me via Evemail and I'll get my new alt to contract hers to you.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Nope. Only way to get stuff back, IF it dropped as loot and isn't destroyed, is to go back to the location where you got killed and retrieve it.

Yes, you may request CCP for assistance...but I can tell you their answer, they won't help.

Thanks all. I'm kind of an RPer (more of a theme-player really) so that certificate "legitimizes" my character in this universe, or so I play it out to be.

That would be swell! I'll get right on it Jonah G. Big smile

EDIT: I sent you EVEMail to "Jonah Gravenstein" don't know if that is what I was suppose to put in the "To:" box or if it is suppose to be last name only.

It's the full name for Evemail Big smile

Check your contracts, you should have a popup telling you have one. It's in a Gallente Newbie Station in Highsec.

New player gets ganked and all he's worried about is his pilot certificate.

No rage. No tears. No threatening to quit.

You are going to do just fine in this game, Edward. Just fine.

I'd suggest that in the future you keep items that have value to you (whether monetary or sentimental) in a station, rather than your cargo hold. While some people are very good at avoiding losses, if you play this game like you should (taking risks, interacting with other players), then this will likely be the first of many ships that you lose.

Lmao! Thanks xD

Wish I had gotten into this game 5 years ago, tired of games that tote "realism" yet players aren't really exposed to the one thing that makes it realistic, the consequences of making the wrong choices. Now all other MMOs just seem like they are for younglings, lol.

Agreed and done. I just found out through this gank that station hangers aren't linked. One of my ships/items was in a different station while another was somewhere else that I had left it. It should have occurred to me that they aren't linked but this mindset is a holdover from MMOs where certain things you assume to be standard and so don't give a second thought to aren't really suppose to be in a "realistic" setting.
