Loyalty Points

Got a question on how Loyalty Points work.

If I'm interested in earning say, the Federation Navy Comet (for 80,000 LP and a couple items), do all my LP need to be with Federation Navy Academy or do all Federation LP count?

I have points with both Federation Navy Academy and Federation Customs. Both sell the same items but have separate LP categories.

This makes me think I should be focusing on one or the other and not both to earn the LP I need. I'm hesitant to go any further with either until I'm sure which was I should be going.

Thanks for the help folks!

All of them need to be with one corp that offers the Comet in their LP store.

I believe the most efficient way to get that ship is from the Factional Warfare LP store, but be aware that signing up to FW will make most of highsec about as dangerous to you as lowsec is.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

LPs are always with a specific corporation and can only be used in the store of that corporation.
So, no, you cannot use your Federation Customs LP when shopping with the Federation Navy Academy.

Note: some LPs can be converted to other LPs, but I think that's only true for CONCORD LPs, which you gain from incursions (not certain on the details).

As I suspected, thank you for the input.

Next question.

What are, next to Factional Warfare (not looking to make highsec unbearable just yet), good ways to earn them?

I've ran a few distribution missions, but they give usually 35-85 each, we're talking like 1000 - 2500 missions just to get to my LP goal. Not only does that sound excessive but it's boring shuttling an item 4-5 jumps away and repeating. That's like watching grass grow, or as George Carlin says, "Watching flies f***."

I'm enjoying combat, hating shuttling stuff around. So more combat in my diet is preferred, just not looking to get into combat that's so far over the head of a 7 day old player/character with 500k sp.

Again, many thanks!

I've been around a long time but in those years I have run level 4 missions about six times and never had more than 100k LP on a character. I'm not even going to attempt to give you a detailed answer.

Just wanted to suggest this subforum for the answers you are seeking. That's where all the LP experts hang out.
