You folks,

So doubtless you've seen this a thousand times, well today or yesterday rather I completed the tutorials and sorta' found myself with nothing to do! I have of course been hunting down for a corp to join for a while now as player interaction is the life and soul of this game! I'm sure.

Yet after spending a an hour simply moving my Items from one station to another today in order to move to a corp I came to realise I wasn't really enjoying the core mechanics of the game and well that's really what matter isn't it? No matter what I ended up doing in game, if I didn't like the way I was doing it there was little hope in me actually enjoying the game.

so I'd just like to say a massive thankyou! to all you guy's who have taken the time to share your tips, thoughts and opinions, But unfortunately I'm running away like a coward!

I do hope to find some of you guy's in another game some time though as EVE is simply one the best communities however briefly I've ever been a part of so thank you! and I'f you ever find yourself on Battlefield 4 or something be sure to hit me up!

Origin: Falcofighter
Steam: xbenblasterx

please don't hesitate to add me elsewhere.

I know I know I'm another one of those frustrating flakey noobies who was drawn in when EVE made the news yet again, but please don't hate me for it.

But for the last time cheers guy's

Trigger.

Well, sorry to see you go. Sad we couldn't make another EVE Junkie.

But then again, and I've spoken to some vets about this in game, this is a normal trend with EVE.

A. Big fight happens
B. Real news sites pick it up.
C. High influx of new players who saw it in the news and through, let's try this game out.
D. Many realise that EVE isn't for them and leave again after trial is over.

But all in all, you DID have the correct attitude. You asked questions, you listened to advice and in the end you made your own decisions. That this decision is that EVE isn't the game for you, nobody will hold that against you.
At least you acknowledge that instead of blaming that the community or the game are aweful.

Good luck and godspeed.

How sad :(...

This is akin to setting a delicious cherry pie in front of someone who proceeds to nibble a tiny bit of the crust then pronounces "Nope, don't like it."

Oh well, good luck in your future endeavors and hope you give eve another try some time.

You gave it a go and realised that it wasn't for you, that puts you way ahead of all the people that come, and then try to change it into something it's not instead of just admitting that it wasn't for them. Have fun in whatever you try next, and keep your good attitude.

We'll be waiting for you with loaded guns when you decide to give it another go, and you probably will give it another go.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

As others have said, nothing wrong in trying something out and finding it's not your thing. But I'm still sorry to hear this. You've shown enthusiasm and a good spirit. And it may not be obvious, but you've helped others with your questions. I've found it beneficial to read the threads you've made.

Well, bon voyage, and welcome back, in time. Smile

Aaaww.. you hd such good promise and attitude.. you still do. but i think maybe part of the reason you are quitting if that you tried to absorb it too quickly..

kinda like burning the candle at both ends..
while i did and still enjoy your questions and curiosity.. i had to step back and maybe ask , that : Did you looked for others to find something for you to do..? " dynamic content " to be created for you...?
I believe a person moves forward and onward in either this life or in RL .. if they themselves were the Dynamic content of the journey.

cheers to ya mate.. and g'luck with where ever you go !

Before you quit, go and shoot some players at random in high security space. (Not in the ship that has all your stuff in it).

All the best, hope you give it another go sometime.

Ha, this. Go out in a flare of noob-colored fire.

And like Sabriz said, don't use your main ship in case you come back :)

Ahhhh, I see the problem.

You spent over an hour moving stuff to another station. Too many new people think they need to do that when in fact there's no need for it. The trick with this game is to have a few different 'Base Of Operations' set up in various locations.

Sounds like you completed all 5 Career Agents which explains your statement of spending over an hour to move a bunch of stuff.

However this statement - "I completed the tutorials and sorta' found myself with nothing to do!" - makes me wonder if you really did complete all 5 Career Agents.

The closing dialog of each Career Agent mentions the level 1 Sisters Of Eve Epic Arc which has about 50 PvE missions that takes the player on a sightseeing tour of high security. The Advanced Military Career Agent gives players an invite to Factional Warfare and the other agents basically set you up to do Exploration, Marketing, Manufacturing, Mining, etc.

Anyway, don't get rid of your stuff and definitely don't biomass your character, you just might change your mind about Eve.

As a week old noob myself, frequenting this forum for information, I've seen many of your posts. I gotta say, you showed promise as a player, the type a community wants to stick around. Thought it'd for you workout the way things were going based on your threads and the responses.

Good luck in your next game!

This is a good idea. Those missions are fun and take you all over the place.
