My pc is lower spec but I heard you could lower the graphics through the client.

Escape menu when logged in. Don't know if you can do it from the launcher, as I don't use that horrible thing.

There's a settings tab on the launcher, but I don't believe that will help you.

From my experience you have to be logged in to change your preferences (graphics), and it will only stay saved on the computer that you did it from.

This is from the hip, so may not be entirely accurate.

The Launcher lets you switch between DX11 and DX9, if that's what you mean (click the cogwheel in the upper right corner and select the DirectX tab).

Other than that: press escape when in-game and select the Display&Graphics tab. To the right you'll find the box which says Graphic Content Settings. Set everything to low if need be. You could also uncheck some or all of the Effects in the middle box.

I there a way to access the options tab without using the ESC button? Mine is broke and I've tried to remap the key to no avail.

It is possible to remap the keyboard in Windows.

For example, I used to have F4 and F12 swapped, so that I could bind a function to ALT F4.

I also have the 'Windows Keys" disabled through a registry hack, though some gaming keyboards can do that too.

I just Google-searched: windows remap keyboard
and this looks interesting

never tried it though.

Never tried to remap the ESC key though.

Well, you could always edit the file that saves the settings on your computer.

https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Clearing_the_cache_and_settings#Settings will tell you how to find the settings folder. The file you're looking for is named "core_public__.yaml". There's a section starting with antiAliasing which lists all of the GFX options. 0 is the lowest setting and 1,2 or 3 is the highest depending on the option. You'll have to play around with it to see what works.

Of course keyboards are cheap, so just buying a new one would probably work as well.
