116.01.31 19:13 Doctor Bonn Young, 10 people

Thank you, Mr. Baracca. We gladly receive your wishes and may peace be returned to you.

The rescue above was prior to "open season" but I had not gotten around to reporting it. For now things are quiet. Being somewhat unfamiliar with war terms, Mr. Dietrichan has said to Tahrmal that he will be "camping on us." I am not sure what that means exactly. Right now it seems to mean that he is remaining in Niarja. He might be taking a nap. I tried to start a conversation with him a few minutes ago, but he hasn't answered.

Last combat records had him in the Bleak Lands, where his Crucifier was turned into confetti by a member of SCUM.

A little time out of the pod was a welcome release as this mid-day rescue occurred in the absence of the war person. I was able to head straight for the Kaap Center after the rescue and wait out the timer there before returning to patrol. Tahrmal and I speculate that Mr. Anti-Pacifist probably isn't an idealist but rather hired by someone else. Certain recent interactions would lead us to guess in that direction. But, we can't be sure.

Not but a while ago, I receive an FTL from Ston indicating that a report had come through regarding a deathcan in Diaderi. We scrambled and were able to rescue ten.

This report also included homeless rescues and the systems involved. For anyone interested, we are now housing 5120 homeless at our Ation Center.

We wish to thank the pilot who alerted us to the presence of the deathcan. The survivors owe their life to your concern and care.

We were able to rescue these 83 and get them to the Kaap center immediately, primarily because the war guy was in pod but in neither Kaap nor Niarja. We don't where he was.

We are all capable of envisioning good and we are all capable of envisioning evil. Many choose to keep the focus on good and seek to build societies that are healthy and productive. But some take a turn that leads to great darkness and most shudder at the evil that results from an imagination that give itself over to darkness and depravity and violence. Were there a way to predict such predilections could we as a society limit the giving of power to such people? That itself is one of those "hubris loaded questions." Still, I think it needs to be asked. For example, do we pay any attention at all to this in the capsuleer selection process? Doubtful.

Well, I don't have an outlined end to this train of thought but I would say that I think it is important for all of us to discipline our imaginations. If we think we toy with dark, violent, sadistic things in our minds without them touching our will, we are dangerously mistaken. Capsuleers, especially are vulnerable because of the power to carry out their dark imaginations. Capsuleers also are equally capable of carrying our bright and positive imaginations. Seems there is a choice before us.

2014-02-02 13:46 31 Slaves
2014-02-02 14:04 10 Slaves

All recaptured slaves were chained, collared, stuffed full of Vitoc, and sold back into slavery (to the Amarr Civil Service).

Although I have no association with the organization named Against all Pacifists, I do agree with the philosophy summarized in their corporation name. Those who deny the Scriptures' clear commandment to conquer and enslave all the heavens are in grave error, for as the Scriptures say, "To know the true path, but yet, to never follow it. That is possibly the gravest sin" (Missions 13:21).

Peace will come when Pator and all the subhumans' worlds have been gassed with Vitoc and their defeated, broken peoples whipped and collared and taken away in chains — and not before then. Amen. Amarr Victor.

I would be pretending and I would be dishonest if I said that it doesn't deeply bother me and trouble me when I see what this madman Nauplius and his ilk are doing. I feel very sad for these 92 and what happens to them at the hands of Nauplius's cruelty. Despite the best efforts of my friends in DSTON and the others who also rescue and free slaves, there are still those who fall victim to this phony religious nut job. Though there is nothing I can do to help these 92 I can help 9200 escape the dungeons of the Ashab slave market. This I have done and delivered them into the good care of a Disciples of Ston Matriculation Center. There they will have educational opportunities, training opportunities, freedom to exercise or refrain from religion, but according to their own choice and dictates of their conscience; a free conscience choosing or not choosing faith.

I might remind those who sincerely follow the Amarrian faith that Nauplius and those like him are the worst possible evangelists for your faith. If any of these former slaves continue in that particular faith it will be in spite of people like Nauplius certainly not because of him. These 9200 set free are freed in honor of those 92 who suffered under such bitter cruelty.

These 9200 are freed through the Resources for Freedom program. If any would like to participate in this way to free people from the bonds of slavery, feel free to contact me.

I can confirm that we received into our Matriculation program an additional 9200 new residents from Ashab through the Resources for Freedom program.

Also Calyce lo has been regularly making proclamations during her trips in Niarja. This one was recorded earlier.

Quote:
[15:03:27] Calyce Io > People of Niarja, I have an announcement on behalf of Nauplius, Divine Commodore of the 24th Imperial Crusade.
[15:03:44] Calyce Io > The most vile criminal in all of New Eden is now in this system.
[15:04:16] Calyce Io > I speak of Ston Momaki. A man who "rescues" slaves.
[15:04:51] Calyce Io > By ripping Slaves from the bosom of holy Amarr, he condemns them to certain Damnation.
[15:05:11] Piranha Red [Multiple Items]
[15:05:11] Calyce Io > And insults the holy Amarrian practice of slavery.
[15:05:59] Calyce Io > He should be ganked whenever he is seen. Such ganks will win great favor with the Amarr God.
[15:06:15] Calyce Io > And assure admission to Paradise. Amen. Amarr Victor.

The lack of the resident "warrior" has enabled us to rescue and return to Centers. This is best for those we rescue and gives us a chance to stretch. We are still operating on safer protocol, none-the-less.

Both of these rescues allowed for return to base. For this we are glad.

Clear all Content

This little interface command has been a sanity saver in the last few days of patrol work. It has been necessary to more closely monitor local channels and unfortunately The Summit where the war fella can be tracked. Audio is off and translated text is all I see, but it is sometimes more than I can take. There is a palpable sigh when "Clear All Content" is selected and the screen goes blank.

We have been very fortunate that we have been able to conduct the majority of our rescues in such a way that those rescued can be immediately transported to a safe Center where medical care, food and restful conditions are better than aboard ship. But, for us as patrol pilots, it has definitely meant more time in the pod and little time relaxing aboard station. O well...

Considering that most of the "scripture" he quotes has nothing to do with the actual Scripture (For example, what is this "Hell" he keeps bringing up? Or "Demons?"), coupled with his inherently cruel nature, sometimes I suspect he might be a closet Sani Sabik or something along those lines.

Which would certainly explain why what he preaches might look like the Amarrian Faith to an outsider, but we actual Amarrians are often left scratching their heads, wondering from what realm of madness he is getting his ideas from.

Whilst I can certainly assure you that we had nothing to do with this, I do definitely recall warning you that something like this was bound to happen sooner or later. Again, humanitarian efforts are good & noble, and when you were simply rescuing the poor souls left to die by heartless capsuleers we could all applaud your efforts. Yet when you eventually began to cross over into deliberate interference with Imperial customs, it was only a matter of time until someone took great offense at this.

So there is nothing here that everyone, yourself included, did not see coming. Likewise, the whole thing could probably have been avoided had you simply remained a charity group and refrained from making a nuisance of yourself in Empire space.

It is not too late to change your ways, Mr.Momaki. Preferably before you lose any more ships... and their crews... in this endeavor which can only lead to exactly that.

Again "Clear All Content" has been a life saver. Fortunately, when a certain individual's transponder is off, I can keep the channels in the background.

A trip to Yulai will need to be carved out in the next couple days as our population of Slavers is back up to the point where we like to have them transferred out of Kaap and over to HQ in Yulai. Manwe has also indicated a number that he has transferred recently and a few here and there at other centers that we need to bring in to the central point in Yulai.

Now to administrative issues and a request for advice. We are looking for lower tax infrastructure options for supplying our Matriculation centers. While we are not in a desperate situation, we want to use our resources wisely. In particular, we are looking for high security water producing planets with the lowest tax rates. Any input on this would be appreciated. We would like to pull up stakes in some of our current locations and rebuild elsewhere.

Thanks in advance for input.

However, we are no closer to a decision on what to do with the slavers. We are considering taking them first to our HQ in Korama so they are far away from those we have rescued. We would like more information, feedback and ideas on just what to do with them.

Supervised task management positions maby, they could be integrated into the population and assigned low level support for the administration branches. Make them work for/with the people they tried to enslave. No access to weapons or off world comms without supervision.

No offence but this sounds suspiciously like imprisonment without trial, charges or due process for an indefinite period of time.

Recovered slavers should be returned to the Empire, as should any slave that is legally registered with Imperial authorities. Rescuing people from those cans is a very good humanitarian service, but detaining slavers and releasing slaves that the Empire is authorized (by CONCORD) to keep is wrong.

Of course, slaves that were taken illegally should be released, and I would hesitate to say that those who were purchased off the SCC and "owned" by capsuleers should likewise be released, as the majority of capsuleers lack the proper authority and moral responsibility necessary to care for them. As clearly seen by their spacing them in cans to get around Customs.
