Petition: Start paying ISD LackOfFaith a salary

Hi, first of all this is not a discussion about forum moderation— simply about the ISD CCL volunteers.

I think that CCL's like LackOfFaith who work so hard should definitely get paid a salary.
They do a lot of stuff for the community and it seems fair that they be rewarded somehow.

So come on CCP, send a few bucks their way! (No, I'm not a sock puppet of an ISD Big smile)


Anyone else agree with me?

*the "good job guys" was in regards to the ISDs for their service, not for the trolls and spammers that they are fighting. wanted to clarify that.

At this point when there is a **** post every 12 seconds, this is more work than running incursions..... with much less LP payout.

If you want the ISDs to get paid you should start more alts so CCP has additional revenue to pay them from.

On average there are between 4000 and 5000 new posts per day. And that is in a 'normal' week.
A small percentage of them gets reported, but those can be considered the tip of the Ice berg as some reports are on threads as a whole.

Yes its often hard work, yes we read most posts, no we don't get paid, yes we do it out of a genuine belief that what we do is for the betterment of EvE as a whole. As do ALL members of the various ISD divisions.

Either way, you're much more than just a "bad guy".

My personal suspicion is that any complaints I have about moderation are caused by the ISD members slowly being driven insane from reading the inane drivel that comprises most locked threads. Thanks for keeping the rest of us sane ISD!

Locking a topic is more to the tune of:

  1. Click "Reply"
  2. Type out a lock message, copy-pasting the relevant broken rule(s), OR just use a pre-prepared canned reply for super common locks (e.g. trolling)
  3. Click "Post"
  4. Click "Lock topic"
  5. Click "OK" in the pop-up


It's a whole ton of work, you know. But no, we shouldn't get paid for it, for we do it out of LOVE! Big smile

Actually, some of the ISD are quite nicely mad already. We just hide it better than most.
