EVE slowly beginning to die??

Is this the slowly beginning of EVE dying??


After some chats with old experienced EVE players, it has left me wondering if EVE is slowly ******* this up.

All i hear is players ***** about everything getting nerfed, no big changes ect ect. Even some players that lost Titans in the b-r5 battle, wont rebuild and is instead selling out... or downsize.

But one thing they have in common, they all want, or have allready joined, Star Citizent (link removed to please someone :D)


And if the big/old/experienced players leaves for a new game, they always drag along a shitload of smaller players.


Any DEVS that want to comment on this? or will it end up in the denial/ignore bin?

EVE is still unique in many respects, and it is those unique characteristics that keep many of the big players in this game.
They won't leave so easily, because there is nowhere you can go that'll give you anywhere near the same freedom.
As such, EVE will not die any time soon, not until there's something that can replace it. Blink

Don't see anything that will replace EvE anytime soon. A bunch of games advertise as if they can, yet where are they now? Not being played by the majority of any playerbase, that's for sure.

That's not the question. The question is: How many funerals will EVE have over its lifetime?

So far, I count five EVE deaths...all of them slow....

Consider this, the average player count at one time was 22,000 (give or take). Now it's 55,000.
Yeah, that looks like slow death to me, but then, I need glasses, too.

(I will give you this. EVE seems to suffer generational loss with each update/expansion. Right now it's as unstable and squirrely as any I've ever seen. Will they announce when it's safe to use DX 11 again? Probably not. At this rate, EVE won't die. It'll slowly dissolve.)

Oh, I kid the devs. We love 'em. Really.
