Replace Damage Control Modules with Ship Crew

My idea is to replace DCU's with Life Support Modules that can be scripted with Ship Crew


A Ship Crew will act as damage control parties to replace DCU stats.


Life Support module does not have to be fitted, however you will get 0% hull resistance like not fitting a DCU.

Life Support modules come in different tech levels like the DCU's, but to fit a max level of ship crew script.

Only one Life Support module can be allowed to fit per ship and is a passive module.


Ship Crew scripts are named and tied into the ship size, so a frigate class can only be scripted with frigate crew script.

Ship Crew scripts level 0 can be bought at npc stations, as isk sinks, and level 1 for loyalty point and isk.

Ship Crew scripts can level up with use, up to level 3 with pve and up to level 5 through pvp.


CCP will have to handle the levelling up process development in conjunction with CSM/player feedback to increase Immersion Cool

Eve online is :

Gallente ships are flown on Pride and Prejudice

Amarr ships are guided by the Hand of their God

Caldari ships will have an Acme AI that does the flying.

Minmatar ships are just wrecks tied together to imho Cool

Ship Crew levelling can be tied into the bounty system:

Ship Crew scripts get experience points for any bounty.

Ship Crew scripts experience points determine what level the ship crew is up to level 5

For pve: npc bounties provide ship crew scripts the xp to get up to level 3

For pvp: capsuleer bounties provide ship crew scripts the xp to get up to level 5

When a Ship Crew script is traded on the market or in any other trade form,
the xp of the script is (re)set to the minimum of the level the script is currently in.
