Moving EVE client

Greetings.

I need to get a copy of EVE in a place with a pretty bad speed connection. To fully download the 19gb client there would be really a pain in the ass. Is there some kind of "full installable client" that i can download in my good connection PC, move in a flash drive, and install in my slow connection PC?

I have looked for the possibility to just move the installed client on my computer, but it seems that it won´t work.

Thank for you answers!

Some time ago I've copied client to another folder and it started to work without any tricks (I've moved "Eve-Steam" client to my "Games" folder before uninstalling Steam). I'm not sure about moving to another computer but I guess you have to try it first because copying must be much faster than 19Gb download.

I'll venture an opinion here. With the advent of launchers the stand-alone executable file method of installation has fallen by the wayside. That would mean, you have to install while connected to the internet. That would mean, you should be playing on your computer with the "good" internet connection, or endure the giant pain in the ass. Am I close?

I don't see a problem here.
1) Delete any old patchfiles in the eve-folder
2) Copy the eve folder
3) Copy the eve/ccp folder in your user profile (not required)

4) Copy eve onto another machine, start it

No need to install anything.

Vyl, you don't know anything about computers!

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Basically follow Jack’s instructions above and when you have copied it to your new machine make a shortcut to the Launcher in the \eve\launcher folder to start the game that way if there are any updates or problems the launcher should sort them on start up.

Copying the settings from your user folder will save you having to set everything up again.

I’ve done this many times over our network when I’ve had to wipe and reinstall on a back up machine, if you use a flash drive you will need a big one so make sure you delete any patch files before you copy as Jack suggested. I've used a usb external hard disk to do it in the past and that works fine for the transfer (just don't try running the game from one Smile)

You can literally copy your whole installation from one PC to another with no issues, you just need to make a shortcut. I've never actually installed EVE to any laptop I've ever had and it's never had issues running.
