Keeping with the T2 theme of not replacing t1 but becoming more specialized.

My suggestion:
Intend role is ninja salvaging

Can fit covert cloak
T2 resists

T1 skill:
5% bonus to salvager cycle time like noctis
5% reduction in salvager capacitor cost
no tractor bonus

T2 skill:
220% bonus to salvager range per lvl (max of 72km with salvager II and lvl V)
Scanning bonus of some sort

Small cargohold, maybe 500 or less
More mobile than t1

The bonus to salvager range would allow the hull to easily salvage many owned (yellow) wrecks, which you can't tractor. This would also make the t2 a much better salvager than t1 in general, because you're not waiting on wrecks to be pulled, but at the expense of not being as good at looting.

My two cents

Keep all tech I bonuses and add in

Specialized salvage Bay (nerf standard cargo bay)
+1 warp strength
cov ops cloak

Okay so amazingly I haven't seen anything about this just yet, and with how good the Noctis is already I can see why, but I had an idea and I thought I would share it. So lots of people have great fun in high sec with a Noctis, but they aren't used as much in null or low, cos they're not that tanky, so my T2 Noctis idea would be to improve salvager cycle time and tractor beam range/speed a little bit and improve the tank quite a bit. I was thinking 4% armor resists per level and 4% bonus to armor bit points per level, nothing too major, but enough to make the t2 Noctis something of a survivor. Now I know you can get a good tank out of a Noctis but you have to sacrifice your rigs and low slots to do so, which is fine, it does decrease the efficiency of the salvage vessel, so the aim of the T2 Noctis would be to keep the efficiency of a high sec fit Noctis and the tank of a null fit Noctis.

I was thinking maybe the Noctis could have a role bonus to fit capital tractor beams or something I dunno, I figured I would start the thread, and you guys can add your own ideas.

If you're looking to make a noctis more survivable, you'd have to give it a better tank, and either a cov-op cloak, or perhaps super like immunity to points and scrams.

T2 variants that do not currently exist is an automatic +1 from me.

But, there are so many options that the exact changes have to be really carefully weighed out.

In the case of the Noctis, most if not all of the ideas here are great.

So many combinations exist, you kind of have to list each specific combo as a separate proposal for discussion.

The ability for everyone and their allies to legally counter-gank mission invaders... yes please. Add a Suspect Flag for Mission Invasion

Love the idea, perhaps instead of being super mobile and salvaging out to a max of 72km, perhaps it should be practically immobile, Orca-type align time/speed, I dunno, i'm just trying to spice it up.
I like this idea cos it would work really well with the mtu, so it isnt primarily a ninja salvager.
Is anyone a professional ninja salvager? Could you tell me approximately how much you make ninja salvaging? Would it be worth spending up to a few hundred mil for a specialised ninja salvager? I imagine it might be quite cool for ninja salvaging in null or wormholes.

This is cool, and seems like a realistic TII noctis (which we are going to have to nickname at some point) the cloak fits in with other industrial ships such as blockade runners, and the warp core strength bonus fits in with other ORE ships like the venture.

Yeah i'm starting to see it that way, perhaps their could be a couple of versions of the noctis, or even bastion-type modules that given different bonuses when activated, however that feels like it would step on the toes of a T3 a little. Well we shall see how this thread goes, I would love to hear from a dev that can enlighten us on any future development of a T2 noctis and maybe dismiss/support some of our wacky ideas.

salvage is VERY small. if u gave it a specialised bay at the expense of its normal bay u'd be nerfing the amount of loot it can carry without really giving it any benefit.

Keep it the same but with two differences: 1) lower its sig.
2) give it the inate abilitly of a "Target Spectrum Breaker" module.
