In the grand scheme of things this is pretty minor, but could be a cool and easy to implement cosmetic feature. For t2 strip miners and such, you can have a different crystal depending on what ore you are mining. What if each crystal had its own color, similar to the way pulse and beam lasers change color depending on the crystal.

Bring some of the rainbow to mining operations!

As trivial and purely cosmetic as this change would be, I would enjoy seeing some variety in the color of mining lasers!

I'd also like to see this somehow added to ice harvesters as well. Perhaps nerf the cycle times on ice harvester II's and require the use of crystals to get back up to the same cycle time you currently get.

Perhaps even balance it so if you want to mine faster, you make less due to wear and tear on crystals vs longer cycle times but less expense on crystals.

OR Make the ice harvester crystals all have the same impact and simply come in a range of pretty colors like Caldari Blue, Amarr Gold, Gallente Green or Minmatar Bloodvomit" :D

Perhaps that would be a great April fools prank :p
