Didn't get gametime from steam

I just bought the starter pack from steam but it seems I have no bonus items and my account manager says I am on my 14 days trial. Steam purchase should give me 30 days of gametime, not 14. Do I need to activate my game somehow to get bonus items and 30 days of game time or what? :O

[EDIT] and now that I try to get back to game, only thing I get is character creation screen. I just have been playing 2 hours.. what is this sorcery?

Keep an eye on this thread since it might be a related issue, and you can also post there to see if you can get a response from either a dev or someone who has had similar issues.

If you are able to post there your client is no longer counted as a trial account.

I guess I kinda solved my problem. After I bought the game from steam, I was supposed to launch the game with my steam account, which I did, and the launcher started. After this I think I was supposed to launch the game but I clicked account manager thing and since I didn't even know I had an account, I made one. The one I made is a trial account, not linked to steam.
Steam had already made me an account but I made a new one and played with that for couple of hours.

I woudn't mind losing few hours of game time but now I lost my name too :( I can't use this same name with my steam account anymore.

I am deleting this character and it seems it only take 10 hours. Will I be able to create new character with this same name after 10 hours is gone?

Yes you should be able to, once the character is biomassed at the end of the cooldown the name becomes available again; as far as I know.

You hear screams when you finalise the biomass, CCP have a sick sense of humour Shocked

Yup, you'll be able to use that name. Also, EVE is a very slow burning long term game so little setbacks like this are nothing, don't let it discourage you :)
