Toggle the effect setting and relog to turn them off after rubicon 1.1 drops. Qeue many happy PVE players.

The ‘effect’ setting will now toggle particle clouds on/off (A session change is required for this to take affect)

Why are particle clouds so bad? Is this a graphics issue with older graphics cards or are they just disliked?

Now if they will turn off the "scan" effect every time I jump through a stargate... It's not getting old it's getting ancient!

From what I've seen both past and present, this seems to affect a host of people regardless as to their setup. Good cards, bad cards, budget cards, cards that would smoke everyone else without breaking a sweat...doesn't seem to matter what card or setup anyone has.

On my build, for instance, while clouds don't crush my frames like many have report, my card does seem to heat up like a blow torch. If I sit in Blood Raider Blockade for a few minutes will not zoomed out completely, I can get about 82 degrees Celsius. Anywhere else in Eve, it usually peeks around 55 to 60. Even in Borderlands 2, Assassin's Creed 4, Skyrim, Saints Row 4 all stay below mid 70's. I've heard that GTX 660's are notorious for running hot, but Eve's clouds seem to stand out like a sore thumb.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

This is great news. I know personally, the clouds made relic/data sites in wormholes almost impossible for me to run. Zoom in far enough to click the scatter cans and the computer almost crashes. Thanks CCP!

Thanks for the heads up OP.

The ability for everyone and their allies to legally counter-gank mission invaders... yes please. Add a Suspect Flag for Mission Invasion
