EVE Online is notorious for having a difficult learning curve (rightfully or not). There are small tidbits of information regarding almost all features that you might not have discovered yet, and there is always room to learn within the game with new avenues for you to go down if you so desire. When treading new ground it is always positive to have access to a source of reliable information and the various educational groups of EVE are a good place to start.

The Featured Fansite this time is a perfect place for rookies and veterans alike to check out: EVE University Wiki. EVE University is one of EVE’s oldest educational organizations and their wiki is chock-full of great information that is kept up to date by the caretakers of the website. As well as offering this vault of knowledge to any that seek it, there is also no cost to joining the corporation if new players are seeking a corporation to join.

The wiki provides information on almost everything within EVE Online. Epic Arcs, mining, industry, PvP, ship types, Lore, and even scams have a section there, and that is by no means a finite list. I strongly suggest you head on over to see if you find something to your liking. EVE University has been around since 2004 and recently in October CCP Eterne published a community spotlight on their activities in case you are curious about the corporation itself.

There are many more Fansites that might hold exactly what you need to assist you in EVE Online or list the information you never knew you were missing. Take a look; it is almost guaranteed you will find something to your liking. Alternatively, check out the last Fansite that was featured in this thread. The featured Fansite is picked at random every two weeks to showcase the important, community driven work these content creators bring to EVE Online.

Agreed. I've been using the Eve University wiki since it's more up to date than the official Evelopedia even on official things like ship stats post rebalancing.

Trying out all the things to do here in Eve - it's quite a checklist. So I made a blog Jakob's Eve Checklist

I have spent hundreds and hundreds of pounds on Eve subs over the years. I wouldn't have stayed with Eve if it wasn't for this wiki. Without it I wouldn't have known how to do anything in my early days. I bet this wiki has made CCP millions in extra subs.

The EVE Uni Wiki was one of the first resources I discovered when I joined the game, and it's still my first go-to when I want to know something.

o7 EVE Uni. It can't be overestimated as a contribution to the game.

Eve Uni is always my first stop when I need to know something about Eve! Great resource and cool crew!

EvE Uni covers a huge variety (everything i think) that is relevant to EvE and usually in great depth!

I <3 the wiki! It was a big part of my preparation before even installing the game. When I edit or create new pages, I always try to consider things from the "not-yet" player perspective, before they even become a new player.
