I have been having issues for several weeks trying to get Evemon to take an api, but still can't make it work. I have even generated new keys via the new api page, but still no go. I just downloaded the new evemon build/version today (1.5.2.3179) and for laughs I tried out making new keys, and of course it does not work still. Do I have to wait for down time for the keys to be active? I really don't get why evemon has been so broken for me for like going on two months now, but I see other people are still using it. I am also not tech savvy, so maybe there is some fix I need to make or settings I need to tweak. Can anyone help me out?

I am now toast with the new Evemon load.
All my chars have no API key associated with them anymore.
Evemon no longer accepts my limited API key, saying it has expired.

Fine, I generate a new limited API from the Eve website.
Evemon says that one is expired also.

Fine, I use the new setup where you can build a customizable API key.
That is a disaster, since I the boxes on the CCP customizeable screen are far from intuitive.
(ex. Name? Name of what? The char, my 7 code ID, anything I want?)

So presently I have no Evemon, which is a killer since I have come to rely on it so much.

Yeah this is exactly what I am getting. Is the there some idea that the API generation is broken or not correct for some peoples accounts? I used to really rely on evemon also, but now it's just not possible to get the api to load for my accounts.

******* hell why do I still play this game?

More info is need to track your issue.
@Dinsdale Pirannha: EVEmon no longer using legacy (Full/Limited) API keys.
Please follow the link in EVEMon (Account Management - Accounts - Add...) to generate a new Cutsomizable API Key.

I'm no sure if this is a reply to my post also, but I know I have made the new customizable keys, several of them in fact, and it still doesn't work. Evemon insists that the keys are expired.

Then, I think, Jimi (the EVEMon lead developer) would like to see your trace.txt.

You have to delete any Legacy API keys (Limited/Full) from EVEMon and add the CAK by using its 'ID' and 'Verification Code' credentials.
'UserID' and 'APIKey' credentials are obsolete.

/me been wondering when CCP will delete those damn Legacy Keys.

I hope not very soon. Else I'll loose ability to use EVEMon.
Or no sooner than I finish the trunk...

Is Evemon functional now?

Since Cruicible went live yesterday, I am getting errors when I fire it up, and all characters' info is cache only, while Evemon does recognize the amount of players online.

CCP changed the API CharacterSheet format without notice, thus breaking EVEMon.
I consider this an API bug.
Until we get an official response, the only think I can do is provide a temporary fix in the latest snapshot.

No worries. I just wanted to confirm this is a global problem, not just me.
I am sure a resolution will come eventually.

And I want to add, thank you for such an awesome tool.

What are the rules for who can create corporate API keys? And if one character has the ability to create a corp API key (i.e. for an "alt" corp) but the other characters do not in the corp, can EVEMon leverage the corporate API key to update the sheets of other characters that belong to the same corp?

Mask 4224 for the corp key worked for the primary character at letting the corporate Market Orders & Industry Jobs to show up.

The "Which Access Mask do you need ?" dialog, doesn't yet give a link to create a corp API key or explain what access mask would be needed.

Corp API keys can be created only by CEO or Director characters.
If you add a corp API key in EVEMon then only the character bind to the key will see corp info, no other.
This serves only one man corps or corps that total control is in CEO or Director hands.
EVEMon doesn't have a Corp management feature.

Did u test if the EvE-Central parser problem is still there or was it fixed already? Just wondering since now that eve-mon is final, this would mean even more invalid entries, which breaks the XML-API.

PS: Since eve-central API is also down atm, is this also caused by new heavy eve-mon uploads?

How can I do that? I'm not the EVE Central admin.
