I'm a relatively new player. I was a little concerned to see the following rule:

Quote:

5. CCP Devs will not be able to use slash commands or any other insider tools which give an unfair advantage.

As I understand it, there are many CCP employees who regularly play the game. Aren't CCP employees always bound by these rules when they are playing on Tranq? If so, why would it need to be stated here, for this special occasion? If not... Shocked

Is there a resource that details exactly what these "slash commands" and "insider tools" are and exactly what unfair advantages they give?

CCP characters don't fight normally, but have access to them for debugging and event purposes. This is why they're stating they're not using dev hacks for this. Otherwise, it's simply a matter of healing your ship to 0% and watching it explode.

Their regular old player characters don't have access to the slash commands, and would get in serious trouble if they did use them.

Huh. So they will be using their CCP characters (Eg: "CCP Helmarr") as opposed to anonymous chars not beginning with CCP which I hope do not have access to the commands. That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

There was a guy from CCP once, in a well know nullsec alliance that spwaned several T2 BPO's, helping his alliance.
When this was finally revealed, CCP banned the guy who revealed it, and his name is still baned on EVE-O forums.

Oh, and offcourse the CCP employee was not fired.

Oh no, they let Tuxford join their fleet, and in his happyness stumbled over the power cord to the server ...

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

So, where are fleet gathering? I heard mentions of calls at Jita and Amarr; is there anyone waiting at the nulsec systems nearest Polaris?
