This contest sounds like a nice idea. I've already recorded a fight, but I'll try to waste another two cruisers in January, then I will submit the best of my three losses. (I and winning a fight? Isn't going to happen. But at least this time I didn't get immediately alpha'd of the field, so I can see myself improving.)

So i have hardware issues with HD 1080. Mainly that my laptop screen no longer works after getting mugged. The only desktop monitor i have has a resolution of 1680x1050. Is this going to be a problem?

There is now an additional award in One Man Crew contest:
The Federation Award

So make sure, that if you are from Gal Mil write about it when you submit your video.

It's an additional award that you can win even if you will not get to the final video.
The award is 1b ISK + 5 federation navy comets + vexor navy issue + Brutix Navy Issue (so far, hopefully will be more)
