Please extend the skill TRAINING QUEUE Buffer to equal subsciption length.

I am a part time player who is a bit seasonal. Basically play for a couple months, then don't for a year, then back again.

All the while I may have a very long subscription, most of the time a year paid in advance or close. As it is, I just waste that subscription time since I forget to check Evemon, or just don't care to since I am doing other things. Most of the time don't have Eve installed on my PC if I'm not playing.

Please, I really don't see any good balance reason to limit the skill queue durations for players.

Idea (It's been said before, but just making it clear again)

Cool Allow players to add skills to train for (in queue) as long as their subscription is for. I.E. I have a paid 6 months sub, then I can add 6 months worth of skills to queue. That way, it gives me a reason to come back to the game later to fly more advanced ships, etc.. and enjoy more difficult parts of the game.

From a part time players point of view, there is not much reason to come back to the game if it's the same game you left.

Not everyone has the luxury of logging on when they get the urge too. But a whole subscription queue? that seems a bit much

Wait, how is this CCP's problem? You're still paying them, right? What do they care if you're training or not?

That depends on what kind of sub they buy. I'm a 6 month to 6 month guy, this past fall i barely played at all due to out of pod issues. Just kept my skills training. It's not like you can suspend the sub because you go on vacation or whatever.

Honestly do you know how much more money they would make from doing this? it also would be a lot easier to train alts

Perhaps he is a valid customer like you are one, and perhaps he would like to see such an improvement.

As it stands, there is absolutely no reason to remain with 24H skillque. Yes, it doesn't take much time, but why do one has to do that at all? It's not like one would get any benefits from it - does it matter if one logs in once each 20 days, or once if he has the time to set up skills for 30/60/180/360 days?

From a Gameplay-POV, it doesn't make any difference at all (time is paid anyway). It would be a quality of life change for players though.

It would be handy to be able to cue a single skill 1 - 5.

EG;
Command ships 5, mapped to willpower and perception with +3's takes 34d 2hr 47min.
As it is now you cue 1 through 3 then have to login a day and a half later to cue 4, then a week later you cue 5.

A change so you could cue 1 through 5 would be very useful if for some reason you are unable to login for a month due to RL.

keeping your training up while not playing is not hard. Evemon makes it incredibly easy. You may miss a day here or there, but there's nothing like coming back from a 5 month break during which you've just been maxing out level 5s. Extending it to 3 days would be cool, but 3 months, 180 days or something? no way.

Any extension to the length of the skill queue will only prompt more threads like this, asking for it to be extended yet again. Its purpose is so that people no longer have to set an alarm clock and get up at stupid o'clock to start a new skill training, not so that we can dump entire Evemon plans to it and never have to bother logging in.

What nonsense, how is people actually logging into the game not making a difference? If only one in ten of these people suddenly thinks they'd best update market orders or waste a quick five minutes trying to kill a red in local then suddenly something is different.

The whole point of having a short queue is to encourage people to login and participate.

It's already possible to get a 30 day skill queue.

I can in fact, set my skill queue to run for 52D 51M 36S. If I didn't have +5 implants in, that would be 70D 19H 53M 15S. Then of course it could be even longer, if my attributes were not optimised towards that skill.

I don't have the time to play atm, but do still pay for my sub on this one account. I do not have any trouble keeping my skills training. In fact with the skill queue, it's extremely easy.

Destination SkillQueue:- It's like assuming the Lions will ignore you in the Savannah, if you're small, fat and look helpless.

There is no good reason not to extend the skill queue to the maximum subscription length. It would be very nice not to have to count on my family to do this for me the next time I am deployed.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I did read them all, but no one has come up with a valid point to why it would be a balance issue or financial issue for CCP to extend the skill buffer.

The only point that seemed close to being valid was ...

CCP wants people to play the game by logging in more often.

I will fix the statement for the only reasons I can think of CCP keeping the skill buffer so small.

1) CCP wants server to appear busier by requiring players log in more often to update skills.
2) CCP wants players to loose value in subscription time by forgetting to update skills, there by keeping character at a lower SP value over time and prolonging the benefit end game content... In other words, keep the player on the hook longer.

It is what it is...

It would seem though, that the only ones who would oppose this are Full time Players who have little else going on over the TEN plus years they may play this game.... it's so silly that it makes no sense. CCP allows you to Plex for in game value, but refuses to let you PLEX to not log in so often.

If I play for Ten years, I will have to on average log in thousands of times just to update each characters skills in order to advance my character. Not to mention the time watching my skills in EVEmon, forgetting to do it, etc... etc...

All I have to say is REALLY?

CCP can't you create a long term relationship with your client's and allow them to leave sometimes?
