Look. I don't know where you got this idea that CCP was a decent and ethical company.

Sure I gave them money before, but doesn't mean I think highly of them.

I mean I give the IRS money too. Doesn't mean I particularly like them too.

Psst... they did reward those who pre-ordered the CE. With all that fancy pre-order stuff that no one gets from the CE sale. If that isn't rewarding customer loyalty, dunno what is. Seems like everyone has to gripe about something these days.

Dunno, the ca-3 and ca-4 implants I got along with the tattoo, the thrasher and some other bits and bobs I got as part of the preorder will pay for enough plex to make up the change in price....

They where/are thinking that they made these things and they need to sell them. The price will continue to drop until they are all sold. Try not to be so sore about being the sucker that made the CHOICE to buy something at a give price at a give time.

No where on the box does it say "price fixed at a stupidly high number, never to change" If you ask me.. it's STILL too high by half... so I just won't buy it. You could have employed the same choice yourself.

To be fair, pre-ordering is a loyalty expression by the consumer.

It's investing in the organization and, historically, making sure you got your copy of the game on release day (no longer relevant usually).

If you want to be thrifty, buy during a sale or, where applicable, when it filters onto Ebay and etc.

So do you complain if you go to say best buy and pre-order a game/movie, then they slash the price in 3 months?

I'm a fan of that book, and have read it many times over the years.

Over the years, I've seen many real life events related to it. Some accurate, some ridiculous.

After about 3 minutes of my life that I'll never get back, I'm still left clueless as to the relation you were trying to make there. Is there a hidden edition I'm not aware of, that delves into the evils of people showing support for a business via monetary means?

Because that's exactly what pre-orders and collectors editions are.
