Seriously WTH are you thinking.

People preordered half a year ahead of time and within months you slash the price by a third. Last time I will ever do preorder something with CCP and I assume many customers will feel the same.

Yes, but CCP apperently doesn't understand customer loyalty. Something they just lost with a lot of people who preordered.

Isn't the whole "Pre-Order" concept based around paying extra for easy/early access?

"Oh no, they dropped the price for a sale.... long after it was released...."

"A lot" of people did not Pre-Order or even Order the package because in all fairness it was very expensive. While this game can make a grocery clerk IRL be an in game Trillionare in game, the hard fact is that many players cannot afford or justify such extravagance even on a holiday without some sort of sale.

i never said it was merit less, just not in the best interest of the consumer.
Caveat emptor X 1000 when pre ordering for the exact reason we are discussing.

It isn't that I mind paying 150$ for the collectors edition, I just think it is a **** move especially since it was clearly in CCPs best interest to have had people preorder. Something I clearly wont do next time, this isn't 'long' after it was released, people preordered a long time ahead or even bought it in the past two months at full price and to then slash the price by a full third 2 months after release is excessive and certainly doens't reward customer loyalty.

I worked my ass off during the summer to afford it and I don't really see a problem with it going on sale now for christmas. See it from the bright side, you got the pre-order bonus.

Standard marketing technique, if I pre-order something I expect to pay a premium for getting it when it's available. CCP are under no obligation to provide you with a refund of the difference between pre-order and retail sales, and neither is any other retailer.

OP go and buy a brand new car, then take it back to the stealership in 2 months and complain because they've discounted the price on that model and specification. See where it gets you, and how hard they laugh as you drive off in a hissy fit.
