SOE arc - stuck!

Hi

I just started the SOE arc and got as far the the "Of interest" mission - https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Of_Interest

The problem is once I killed the pirates and looted the strange datacore, I then got killed (long story!) before I got to hand it in - when I salvaged the wreck, it wasn't there. Now I can't hand the quest in and when I go back to the encounter area, there are no more pirates to drop the datacore again so I can't complete the mission and move on.

Any ideas what to do?

3 options...

1) Let the mission expire and start it over again in 90 days when it resets

2) See if somebody may be selling it on contracts. A ninja looter may have grabbed it from somebody else's mission to your benefit.

3) Petition. If you are new and doing the newbie missions, the gm's will sometimes reset a mission for you.

F12 -> create support ticket -> ask for the mission to be reset. The GMs are pretty good about resetting missions, especially for newer players.

you might consider ganking someone for the item...and thus paying the "long story" forwardPirate
