Sigh.... using ships and modules you gotten by using GM commands.
If you want to play the game and try it out and practice like you said then play the game like everyone else.

Have the experience of losing your first pvp ship which you could hardly afford, something you wont have if you get the ship by gm commands.

But pretty much like in most games , the developers hardly play their own game enough to understand it.

Please see the set of rules below:

1. CCP Devs will be flying ships which are available to all pilots so no exotic ships such as the Eidolon will be used. We want to ensure that all players have a fair chance to participate and the test environment ships are too much to handle.
2. All CCP ships will be Tech I or Tech II fit.
3. CCP Devs will attack players, generally in response to being shot at first. We may aggress on ships which are spying on us or setting up for a hostile fleet warp in.
4. CCP Devs will NOT pod players who lose a ship.
5. CCP Devs will not be able to use slash commands or any other insider tools which give an unfair advantage.
6. The CCP ships will be strong and the use of pirate implant sets or other enhanced implants will be used.
7. CCP will engage in some friendly smack but will not respond or engage in any smack which is considered obscene, racist or sexist under any circumstances.

Ok I'm not a troll typically but this has to be one of the most idiotic stupid *** things I have ever heard someone say. I am dumber for having had read your post I think. In fact I'm now so dumb I don't even know if I'm dumb.

You think they have time to code this game, market it, work on it, fix it, debug it, deal with 50,000 cry babies like yourself that can't be please no matter what PLUS earn every ship they destroy in a multitude of events they put on with 30-40 representatives against 100's or 1000's of players?

Pull your head out of your *** and engage your brain next time you run your mouth.

Not to mention, most of them HAVE characters that they started from scratch. You been playing eve a week?

Except it's not a live event, it's just pvpers being pvpers.

Yeah, but a lot of us are using the channel to get x'd up into fleet, doesn't matter if it's a live event or not.

Better ask Chribba

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

This idea was fun... until the information stopped flowing, the adrenalin stopped, and people were left wondering if, when and where they'd get a fight.

Ah typical fanboys.
Say one bad thing about their little epeen eve online and they starting to troll like a bunch of morons.

Yes i have read their post and i know they wont use any commands or gm ships.
Only that says nothing about not using ships which were given by them and skills that were given by them by commands.

"1. CCP Devs will be flying ships which are available to all pilots so no exotic ships such as the Eidolon will be used. We want to ensure that all players have a fair chance to participate and the test environment ships are too much to handle.

As you can see here.

Giving yourself as a gm a ship which can be used by others is not giving you a unfair advantage.

As you can see at rule nr3 note the "generally" so in other words if you are in low/null and this GM fleet filled which ships that were given by them through gm commands they might aswell attack you.

As you can see at rule nr6 they are using these implants which cost them nothing no effort at all.

It just proofs to me basicly what they mean when they say "we play the game aswell".
They simply dont.

If you want to pvp as a bunch of developers play the game like anyone else and not given ships and characters.

While this sounds awesome, the cynic in me doubts it is nothing more than a way of CCP handing the good stuff over to the goons and such.

I'ts not like the Aurora Program wasn't a mechanism for showering gifts on the Role Player Of The Month at all.... oh wait....

Well.... maybe CCP is the first leopard that changed it's spots. But somehow I really doubt it.

Gavjack,

I know that you and I have not always seen eye to eye but I promise you that I value you, just like everyone else, as a member of this EVE commmunity.

So let me address a couple of things so that everyone can quote me on this Big smile

Our aim with this event is to create a fun environment that we can all enjoy. Sure, we could role in with a bunch of uber ships which would destroy a supercap fleet with no losses but where is the fun for you, as players, if that were to happen? Honestly, there is no fun in that.

What will happen is that you will face a CCP Dev fleet who will fly the same ships you do with the same tech II loadouts that you fly. Perhaps we will get obliterated in minutes and perhaps we wont. What we want is for you guys to bring it and we will fight to the last man.

There is where the fun lies. We will have tech II fits but some cool loot in our cargo.

Our Operations team have reinforced several different nodes for us so that we can decide where is the best venue to bring it. We are not going anywhere to drop loot to what anyone else percieves as our 'freinds'. We have no friends for this event and our guns will prove that.

Now you can quote me on that, I promise Cool
