While this sounds awesome, the cynic in me doubts it is nothing more than a way of CCP handing the good stuff over to the goons and such.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I'ts not like the Aurora Program wasn't a mechanism for showering gifts on the Role Player Of The Month at all.... oh wait....

Well.... maybe CCP is the first leopard that changed it's spots. But somehow I really doubt it.

Sigh.... using ships and modules you gotten by using GM commands.
If you want to play the game and try it out and practice like you said then play the game like everyone else.

Have the experience of losing your first pvp ship which you could hardly afford, something you wont have if you get the ship by gm commands.

But pretty much like in most games , the developers hardly play their own game enough to understand it.

There's a reason why they only engage those stalking them or those trying to kill them and not randomly ganking carebars in null. Consensual PvP in a sense.

Who said the CCP devs didn't scoop it up on their non CCP characters and then transfer the ships and implants to their CCP character for representation?
