Hello I'm new to this game I've been reading the stuff related to PvP and aggresion mechanics and I though I understood it well enough to try some pvp on my own. Yesterday I saw a player with a suspect flag, he was on a retriever and I engaged with a frig, we were fighting for around 5 mins when sudenly CONCORD apreared and killed me.

Can someone explain what I did wrong? weren't suspect players free to engage for any capsuleer? even some random dude got killright on me after that a player that wasn't even in local. Thank you.

What were you engaging with? You either had smartbombs and nicked a neutral, or accidentally engaged a neutral during the fight (or are exaggerating the duration of the fight...). And are you positive it was concord that killed you? Was your safety set to red? Need moar info...

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

you must have shot something what didn't have a suspect flag.

set safeties yellow or green and concord will never kill you, since you can't become criminal in this setting

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Man, I'd love it if CONCORD stopped enforcing Crimewatch and instead started punishing poor playing.

1) Undock in an officer fit Tengu and try to use autopilot? CONCORDOKKEN!

2) Are you hauling PLEX in that frigate? CONCORDOKKEN!

3) Freighter trying to jump into Nirarja on autopilot? CONCORDOKKEN!

4) DId you fit three different types of railgun on your battleship? CONCORDOKKEN!

5) You just invited a known AWOXer into your corp and gave them access to the master wallet and all your corps shares? CORP-WIDE CONCORDOKKEN!

6) You just bought a carrier, and are struggling to use a Startgate to jump into highsec? Yup . . . . CONCORDOKKEN!

I understand that CONCORD punishing stupidity would take a lot of the fun away from other pilots, but honestly, I don't care.

I had a condor and in the kill rep says the other guy made the 78% of the damage there is a "CONCORD captain" too but it doesn't say the amount of damage dealt, only was using rockets and yeah It didn't melt fast as I said I'm new to this game still need to train some skill.

File a petition.

At the very least they may be able to look up logs and explain what went wrong. You might even get your frigate back.
