Let's not talk about those games. EA's greedy corporate ***** couldn't just leave well enough alone - they had to desecrate a work of art.

I'm still pissed about them turning KOTOR 3 into a ****** WoW-clone.

That said, I volunteer Chribba for the lead player character.

KOTOR 3 was cancelled did they decide to resume work on it.

too bad about that ending though Oops

Agreed however they needed to do something with/about Sheppard as they said from the start ME3 would be the end of the Sheppard story line trilogy.

I just used "MEHEM mod" to edit my ME3 endings and it made everything allot better.

(Spoiler alert for ME3)

I don't mind Shepherd dying at the end. I really don't. I've got a soft spot for those epic sacrifice moments, but it's got to be handled in the correct manner. Mordin's death on Tuchanka was handled beautifully, and I'll admit I had watery eyes as he made right the wrong he felt he'd made all those years ago. The fact he made the decision of his own free will (according to my game) was a natural part of his story over two games. To be honest I still consider it a true ending to the series, and refuse to even acknowledge what came after.

Mass Effect 3 was lazy. It was lazy and not very well written at all. The assassin guy is a classic example of ME3 messing it up - he wasn't even part of the story up until Bioware needed someone to fight in place of the Illusive Man. Sure he was mentioned in the novels, but how many here read those? You shouldn't need external media to fill in the gaps of the story. Sure, you can use it to expand a universe, but not to shoe horn a new character in and make us care about their involvement.

Oh, and don't even get me started on Shepherd's guilt dreams or the preludes to her death. Maybe if they'd woven both throughout the series, they'd of held more weight, but instead they become blatant devices to try and manipulate our emotions into aligning with Shepherd; a character up until now who had shown nothing but strength in the face of adversity, and you're telling me some random blonde kid is the herald for Shepherd feeling the weight on her shoulder? Why not who ever she chose to die in the first game?

...I need to step away from the podium and cease the ranting, otherwise there'll be paragraphs of stuff like this.

Edit: I cannot begin to explain the level of heartbreak and anger that I have towards EA because of ME3. Admittedly it didn't start out that way. My initial reaction was trying to feel sad, but feeling nothing but confusion and a sense of "Huh? Ok...so...that's it then". This, over a space of a few hours lead into me feeling cheated. I mean maybe I had missed something, but to be honest the ending felt rushed compared to what I had expected. From London onwards, the entire story felt tired and disjointed, like they didn't know how to end the tale in a fitting fashion. Actually, London was a grind - pure and simple. It didn't even feel that epic. Crap, I'm rambling again.

Anyhow, it has thus left me with the following conclusions; Stick with the original writers, and if I want to watch series which stuck to their guns, I'll break out Babylon 5 and Breaking Bad.

Oh yes, ME3... while technically the best game of the series, it really did a good job of killing everything that made ME1's and ME2's story so cool. I could live with everything up untill London... what a dissapointment. And I picked the wrong ending too after getting my brain confused by Starbrat's inane explanations. What I hated the most is the de-mystification and blatant NERF of the Reapers. In ME1 Sovereign states Reapers are 'each a nation, independent, free of all weakness'. Then right at the end Starbrat does a Deus Ex Machina, retcons and reduces everything the Reapers used to be into a bunch of robo-slaves following an extinction-cycle-routine. Oh and Leviathan, the one mission that actually explains their origin is optional, short, overpriced DLC.

Mass Effect had a great and very believable universe created, well thought out with lots of well implemented detail. Strongest part of the game.

However the main plotline and the player-character are bland and terrible. Shepard himself is just so dumb that listening to the lines is painful, a major problem in an RPG that broke new ground for its cinematic qualities. Bioware should have asked Obsidian to help them out with the writing and characters.

The conversation wheel that reduced entire convesations to 4-word blurbs should have had an option for picky players like me to toggle it off.

I stopped playing ME3 like halfway through.
