What a terrible idea.

If tis ever implemented, please make it entirely optional.

I dont want to waste my time and space downloading some crap that's worthless.

I don't think anyone here stated that he'd like it otherwise. Optionality, on the other hand, was mentioned in the OP.

IMO it'll happen - not maybe, but will.

Have you all read what CCP has said on this topic? That it'll take roughly 16gb more space ... so on and so forth.

Now think about that. They have gone so far as to review how much extra space it'll take and what not.

So... Does this sound like something they aren't interested in doing? It's one of those "time" gigs vs "happening or not". We will get such a pack when they get it done.

I'm betting it'll also come out around the time they get the tessellation stuff they've demoed implemented - as in both enhanced effects *AND* higher res pack to provide a "slam dunk" style visual delivery.

Dont care about the 16 GB, today some 1TB Harddisk cost around 50Euro, and if it a optional Graphic improve nobody should complain.

Also i need things like tesslation, GPU physics particle smoke, Laser arrears, Maybe some glow effects for some windows on the ships who are "glowing", advanced graphic settings like set manuell glow strengh from light, Spark and glow arrears on targets and realistic trees!
Come on, it is year 2013, soon 2014. My grandma say: "Damn! That Textures hurt my eyes!"
