Esc, or any keybind does not work, read that this has been a problem for a lot of people

I just reformatted, and reinstalled & it still doesn't work. It happened after the latest patch, and its interesting.

Yes I have!

Was button mashing F1 last night and nothing happened, put it down to lag but then pressed the module with the mouse and it turned straight on.

also orbit/keep at range and approach don't seem to function.

Using my windows 7 computer, everything seems to work fine. On my windows 8 computer nothing works, are you running windows 8 as well?

Nope, didn't notice anything out of whack with my keyboard commands. Only a slight delay when using stargates etc.

Were you in any kind of big battle or some some area with higher load than usual?

Also, I might have heard that switching the client back to DX9 via the options offered by the launcher helps sometimes couldn't check tho.

EDIT: Just saw your post on windows 8. I think we've just identified teh problem. send an error report to CCP, might be something with the client itself, maybe they can even fix it.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

I think this is a windows 8 issue

I noticed this a couple of days ago.

Of course, in my case, I eventually discovered the cable for my keyboard had fell out the back of the PC.

Only issue I found was using shift-ctrl-click to unlock wrecks and it wouldn't do it until a few attempts later pressing the keys again. But that was never very responsive to me.

I'm having this issue also. I don't really use many hotkeys so I was mostly seeing it when trying to get the Esc menu up.

This is a game breaking bug that seriously needs attention, I know the hampsters you underpay and overfeed at CCP doing coding probably are a bit lethargic from all the whale meat pizza, and the traveling around to vegas and hiring whores, but forcing people to install a different operating system after 1 patch breaks the game is inconvenient to say the least.

How much longer are you going to ignore all these threads CCP?
Lag, low memory, unresponsive commands, I'd say you have a few issues here. Oops

It may be related to the latest catalyst beta drivers, and or amd related issue in general with the hd 7950 perhaps? Unfortunately you need the beta drivers to play battlefield 4, otherwise I'd unintall them, and test the old drivers on windows 8.1, but I ain't being paid to go through all of this trouble, so I think I'll just install windows 7, and hope origin fixed the battlefield 4 being unable to intall on windows 7 problem people are having.

Maybe December is a bad month for trying to play games you purchased, perhaps people should just give game companies money for the hope they one day will work.
