Stuck on Mission Data Scanning in the Exploration Career..

Half the time I hack and nothing comes out like its supposed to out of the container, the other half I successfully hack but it says the data is too complex. This is the 5th mission in exploration and it has been 8 hours so far and driving me CRAZY!! If someone could help that would be great

Haven't done it myself.

What is the name of the mission, so you I can Google for something?

Is it "Data Scanning"?

Make sure you are zoomed out so you can see. When you successfully hack, little loot bags will spew out. You need to click on them in space to collect them with your tractor beam. It's not like the other tutorials where you open a cargo container - you can't open the scatter container itself.

What I recommend is using the look function on the container you are hacking. Then hack it. When the hacking window dissapears all the loot spew should be centered. Click on the one at a time. You can queue only one. So click one wait for tractor to engage, then click the next one. The very last one usually is out of range, so you will have to chase it.
