I did want to mention that I have no issues with what goes on in the RP thread. Anything that happens to my toons in this doesn't effect me in game. I have no plans on biomassing a character if something bad happens here.

Besides, let the story play out. Blink Lets not worry about pulling a "Dream Sequence" until we know where it's going.)

(Meta: Hope you're feeling better random it suck to be ill during the holidays, but I agree, i wanna see where this story goes, and I have more than enough creative juices to continue for quite a while. also As i mentioned before I have my short story I have it up on google drive, its a very rough draft, there are grammatical errors but if anybody is interested in reading what I have so far message me and I will send you the link, hope everyone is in good health)

Random took one more glance at Twinkle and nodded. On “one”, he charged around the corner and charged at the remaining crewmen. His manic howl startled the officers enough for Twinkle to plant and fires his rifle. A few of the shots came perilously close to hitting Random but Twinkle was calm and the shots went true. Those that continued to stand met the boarding axe and their gory fates.

“There is a second cargo bay up ahead. There was no evidence of a cell in the one I landed in.” said Random, glancing back to the armored gunman.

“I can access the plans to this ship, Mr. McNally. I have them uploaded in my suit.” Twinkle said, checking the ammo pack in the rifle.

“No need to.” Random responded, “A Scorpion was the first battleship I’ve ever flown and I’ve built several. I’m fairly well acquainted with its layout.” He stopped and looked around, listening for any incoming patrols. “Assuming that they didn’t use a crew quarters for a cell, there is one more cargo bay left to check.” He stopped and gulped air and squeezed his grip on the massive boarding axe. “Twinkle, I want you as my rear guard. I’ll lead; you keep a look out behind.”

Twinkle nodded and checked the shield charge in his suit. The suit had taken quite a beating and he knew that time to regenerate the suits shields were needed. He was just about to follow Random out of the little alcove when the overhead ships comms burst into life.

“My name is Matokin Lemant, former officer of the RSS I am now in command of this Scorpion. The former commander has surrendered to me...I am proceeding to dock the ship back at the station.”

Random stepped up to an interior comms panel and stabbed the ‘all call’. “WHERE IS LAUDENUM?” he screamed into the panel. The echoes of his question reverberated throughout the hallways.

Lemant looked startled and Sharazzi and the former RSS man glanced nervously at each other. Neither had recognized the voice but Lemant was sure it was McNally’s. Lemant moved to the comms panel, keeping Sharazzi covered with the firearm. He keyed the comms and spoke calmly, “McNally, is that you?”

Random looked at Twinkle and said “Change of plans. I don’t trust this guy as far as I can throw him but we’re changing course. Let’s head to engineering.” He stopped at the next comms panel and jammed the all call again. “Yes,” he growled, “it’s me. You have Laudenum. I want her back.” His eyes narrowed and his growl resonated deeper, “you have 5 minutes to produce Laud, or I will make this ship, and all its inhabitants, part of a very pretty burning cloud.” He turned and ran to Engineering, Twinkle keeping pace behind him.

Lemants eyes narrowed as he glared at Shirazzi. “Well, we have certainly started a fecal storm here.” He stabbed down on the comm and said, “McNally, Ms. Hayes was jettisoned off the ship a short time ago. I did that before taking over the ship.”

At the next comm panel, Random stabbed the button and said, “I want confirmation. I’m not taking your word this time, Lemant.” He sprinted down the hall towards the engine room.

Lemant was watching where the all call commands were coming from. McNally was on his way to the engine room and he was fairly confident that the Matari had the knowledge to overheat the drive arrays to detonation. He stabbed the comms button again and said, “McNally, I cannot confirm that she is in the station, but I have already started maneuvers to dock. IF you overload the engines, you will cause an explosion inside the station. Once we dock, we’ll get this all sorted out. You just need to be patient.”

Random smiled wolfishly as he burst into the engine room. Patience was never one of his strong points. The boarding axe cut a bloody swath and Twinkle shot furiously at any moving target that was out of melee range. Random reached the control panel and began throwing switches. Surviving engineering staff reacted to the alarms by scattering to the escape pods. Like rats fleeing the sinking ship, life pods jettisoned like fluff from a dandelion.

On board the ‘Extinction’, the sensors officer called, “Sensor, Command. Sir, we are reading elevated power levels from the Scorpion and she’s jettisoning escape pods. Readings show she’s going overload.”

Captain Grainger narrowed his eyes, assessing the situation. ‘Explosions that close to the station could cause catastrophic damage to the docking area.’ He thought. Grainger turned to his command chair and seated himself. “Command, comm,” he said smoothly, “contact the station and have them reverse polarity on the docking drones. Tactical, slap a tractor beam on the Scorpion and let’s pull it away from the station.” He paused for a few moments, looking intently on the screen showing the ‘Cheyenne’. “Tactical,” he continued, “power up the forward weapons arrays and neutralizers. Calculate when that ship will go nova and give me a ten second countdown.” The various stations reported ‘aye’ to the given orders and Grainger sat deeper into his chair, preparing for the inevitable.

“McNally, are you mad?!” Lemant yelled into the comm. “I have control of the ship. Let’s dock it up and let the authorities sort it out!” The ship lurched suddenly as the collective effects of the docking drones and the tractor from the Concord vessel pulled the ship sharply. As Matokin stumbled, Sharazzi dashed drunkenly for the bridge escape pods. Lemant turned in time to see Sharazzi enter the capsule and blast away. “Damn, this is not going well.” He lamented

“I want Laude…,” he paused, “I want my sister back and I’m prepared to destroy anyone in my way.” He said quietly amongst the alarms.

“She is on the station, damn you.” Lemant growled, his Matari rising. “She is safe.”

***********************************************************

On the ‘Extinction’, the sensor operator called out, “Sensor, Command. Fifteen seconds until detonation.”

************************************************************

Random turned to Twinkle and said, “Time for you to go, kid. Escape pod is there, get the hell out now.” Twinkle hesitated, and Random smiled genuinely. “Go Twinkle, this is not your day to die.”

Twinkle turned and sprinted to the escape pod. “I do not think it is yours, either.” He threw himself into the pod and hit the jettison button.

Lemant growled into the comm, “We will go down together then, McNally.” The very blood in his veins turning hot as it began to sing, “We will settle this in the next life.”

****************************
“Ten seconds, sir!” the sensor operator reported to the Captain.

“Standby forward neutralizers and weapon arrays. Fire on my command.” Grainger announced.

****************************

Random stood, his mouth moving silently as if in prayer. He gripped the haft of his axe until his knuckles turned white and the wraps creaked. He raised his arms in salute and prepared for shouting his name to the guardians of the afterlife when his wrist communicator chimed.

“Random….I’m ok. I’m on the station, safe.” Laudenum’s voice sounded shaky, but it was clearly her.

Random opened his eyes and slammed his hand on the emergency power down. His body shook with the adrenaline of preparing to meet his ancestors.

Lemant stood with arms raised, howling his defiance and heralding his arrival to the afterlife when the alarms suddenly silenced on the bridge. He growled and spun; his body flooded with energy waiting to burst forth. His eyes wide and searching for the guardians to Hell.

***************************

“Open fire.” Captain Grainger announced evenly.

“Sensor, Command! The ship is powering down!” the Sensor operator shouted excitedly.

“Hold fire!” Grainger shouted, putting an arm up as if to physically hold the tactical officer from firing. He spun to the sensor operator and said, “Confirm? Are the systems powering down?”

“Confirmed, sir.” The Sensor operator turned back to his panel. “The ship is powering down.”

Captain Grainger sat heavily in his chair. “Tactical, repulse that damned Scorpion into the docking area. When it’s past the event seal, it’s their business. Nav, get us ready to get the hell out of here. When that ship is in, we are out of here.”

*****************************

Lemant’s breath came raggedly as the Scorpion jarred again, this time in the direction of the station. He took several calming breaths as the song in his veins quieted. He looked around the ‘Cheyenne’s’ bridge and sighed. He turned to the Nav console and programmed in the docking sequence.

Random walked calmly to the nearest airlock; his grip strangling the haft of the boarding axe. He moved to the airlock door and waited until the sensors proclaimed it was safe to cycle it. When the door hissed open, he stepped out on to the boarding ramp and walked to the crew’s general unloading area. Any station personnel that moved to stop him paused when they met his icy blue eyes or the gleam of the axe.

Lemant watched Random leave from his vantage point on the bridge. It was not difficult to see the Matari walking away. First, Random would verify that Ms. Hayes was safe, and then Random would come for him. He needed a way to talk the Matari down and focus him on the true enemy, Sharazzi.

“Damn you, you witch. Why did I let you talk me into this.” The RSS man lamented.

*********************

Random pulled aside the curtain in the hospital room holding a bandaged and bruised Laudenum Hayes. She struggled to hold her eyes open through the sedation. When Random moved to the side of her bed, she gasped and dragged herself to a sitting position; hugging Random tightly and shivering violently.

“They almost took me, they almost took me.” She said meekly, terror plain in her words.

“Shhhhh, sis. It’s ok. No one is going to get you while I’m here.” Random whispered, calming the near hysterical woman.

“They almost took me, like Brandin.” She said, pausing to look into Random’s eyes while tears streamed down her own.

“I will never let that happen.” Random said quietly. “I’ll keep an eye on you.” He held her tightly, giving her something solid to cling to.

Hours passed as Random held Laud. Eventually, the medications took hold and Laudenum drifted off into a dreamless sleep. Random gave instructions to the medical staff that he was to be called immediately when she woke and no one was to visit her without him being present. The instructions carried an even heavier threat when Random realized that he stood talking to the doctors in undergarments and still carrying the boarding axe. He walked in exhaustion back to the bar and moved quietly through the crowd. A glance up to the bar showed Twinkle cleaning like nothing unusual had happened. He met Twinkle’s eye and nodded slightly. Twinkle paused and nodded in return, very slightly.

The door to his room opened and he walked inside. He breathed deeply the scents of the room. He could still smell Yiole’s scent in the covers of his bed. He listened intently but heard no sound but his own heart.

“Yiole?” he asked, “Are you here?”

The silence permeated the room and he moved heavily to his bed. He noticed the datapad sitting on his pillow and picked it up. The light in his eyes died as he read and part way through, his axe dropped to the floor from a hand gone lifeless. He finished the letter, and sat heavily on the bed.

Matokin Lemant
#2745 - 2013-11-30 06:10:09 UTC
“I can’t believe he just did that, your relentless quest could have just killed us both” Matokin said while gearing at Sharazzi.

Then he activated the coms and called the station security “I have with me the perpetrator of the recent events that just took place outside the station she has surrendered to me and I am willing to turn her over to your custody.” A voice on the other side of the com system responded “what happens in space outside the station is concords responsibility; we will contact them to have her taken into custody”

Just then Sharazzi looked at Matokin, from the look in her eyes he knew she was not happy “we had a deal, you said that you would not allow concord to take me in” she roared.

“I know and I won’t unlike some people I actually keep my word” Matokin glared back at Sharazzi.

Knowing the interstices of concords relations with internal empire matters from his time in the RSS Matokin knew that if he told the station security about the kidnapping from the bar previous then the station security would hold and turn Sharazzi over to the Supreme Court. However the only problem with that was he himself was also part of and took part in the actual kidnapping, a point that Sharazzi would undoughtily be all too happy to point out the station security.

He quickly razed the station security and said “The same person in my custody is also the same person who organized and helped execute the kidnapping from the Grater Fool Bar earlier.” There was a slight pause then a male voice responded “The alleged phoney concord agent? If this is the case then we would need to take her into custody here and turn her over to the The Federal Administration.”

“The Federal Administration why?” responded Matokin The voice responded “We are sending officers down to the docking bay and we can discuss this in person, I am not discussing this over the com system”

Sharazzi then looked at Matokin and he could tell from her body language that she was extremely anxious she removed the pistol and clip from her belt stating “You had better keep your word with this, if not I will make sure that concord knows your involvement in all this as well”

“Relax I will keep my word to you, after all it’s the only what I can get out of this, if it wasn’t for that I would kill you where you stand” Sharazzi could tell from Matokin’s body language and his voice he was getting annoyed with her at this point. She laughed “It’s nice to be needed”

At that moment the ships coms pinged to life a female voice said “This is security Lieutenant Faykan station security please disembark your ship at once” Matokin responded “We are on our way down, be their shortly.”

Ariving at the docking port Matokin and Sharazzi were greeted by two male Gallente security officers and one female. Looking at the female officer Matokin stated” Lieutenant Faykan I presume.

The female officer stepped forward and said “Yes that is me I am here to receive the prisoner may I assume this is her?”

“Yes but I want to know one thing, why would you turn her over to The Federal Administration and not the Supreme Court? Matokin asked.

Well Lieutenant Faykan stated “This whole incident is of a sensitive nature you kidnapped a capsuleer and impersonating a concord agent is a serious offence and concord will want to know how and why this happened, and the Federal Administration is best suited to handle this delicate nature. Now kindly release the prisoner to us and we will be on our way.”

Matokin looked at Sharazzi “very well” he said reluctantly. He posed for a moment then continued “I am now officially turning this prisoner in my custody over to the Gallente Station Security Service, she is yours to now do with as you choose”

“OK we will take her from here then” responded Lieutenant Faykan. “Miss can you please come with us now?” she asked turning to Sharazzi who nodded in silent agreement. Then one of the two male security officers quickly secured Sharazzi's hands behind her back, and took up position directly behind her.

Matokin then thought to himself “Now then it’s time for me to get to the bar before she blabs that I was also involved I have to talk to Random before he finds me.”

As he turned to walk he felt himself being pushed into the wall of the docking port by one of the male Gallente security officers. And before he could even comprehend what was happening Matokin felt his arms being forcibly pulled behind him as a familiar female voice he recognised as Lieutenant Faykan say “Now you really didn’t think that we actually never knew about your involvement as well did you...after all we do have security monitoring devices around the station. Take them both to the main office the Federal Administration representative is waiting for these two there. “

Matokin turned around to see Sharazzi grinning from almost ear to ear in what he was sure was some state of satisfaction in her mind. As the two was lead out of the docking rap and eventually into the station by the two security forces being lead by Lieutenant Faykan

The commotion aboard the Cheyenne as it approached had everone near Lail running in fear and panic.
“Holy **** I hope Random survives the fight long enough to see his sister is ok.” Lailyana said out loud to herself.
Suddenly she shes a pod a few hundred feet in front of her with a bunch of medical personnel carrying what appeared to be a female. Bolting to the scene Lail makes out the faint appearance of laude, her long blonde hair unmistakable, although it didn't look like laude, most of body covered in blood and her spine dripping blood on the floor.
As Lailyana gets closer she sees its laude and starts screaming.
"Laude, Laude wheres Random?!" a nearby medical officer turns around and greets her.
"Miss you cant be here, this woman is severely injured and needs immediate medical attention." he says keeping the frenzied Caldari at bay.
"Look I don't if all of CONCORD is here, youll only slow me down, now let me see my friend before i show you some things the caldari naval academy taught me years ago." Lailyana says with a dark and ominous tone.
"uh ok fine, youre free to go." the medical assistant said
lailyana runs up to laude and what she sees is almost to much for the Caldari, who has seen so much in new eden, to bear to look at. Grabbing the hand of partially coherent Laudenum Hayes Lail says "Youre safe now, we will take care of you."
as her eyes are rolling into her pain in agony laude leans over to lail and whispers "Get my brother, I want my brother."
Lailyana gently kisses her forehead, ill find him, save your strength laude."

As the medical personnel take laude away Lailyana breathes a huge sigh of relief, relief that laude was safe, relief that everybody was able to walk away from this unscathed. As she is daydreaming a towering shadow appeared before lailyana
"Random." Lailyana said "they just took laude to the medical facility, shes in pretty bad shape but was asking about you."
without saying a word, visually shaken up, random walks away still clinging his boarding axe.

As Random Walks away lailyana sees the Cheyenne coming in for docking procedures.
"Oh god, if random sees that RSS agent right now, this will not end well." Lailyana thought as the ship landed.
As agents of CONCORD arrived to take control of the situation lailyana saw Lemnant step out with a firm grip on a woman she didn't recognize. As the two stepped foward she saw a uniformed officer step foward "well theres concord" Lailyana mumbled.
And then suddenly something happened she didnt expect, the officer she assumed was CONCORD took the female into custody..
"Wait what the hell" lailyana said startled, "so is this sleezebag just going to walk away scott free?" she started saying louder as Lemnant started walking away, but suddenly, a CONCORD looking agent slammed him against a wall placing him in custody as well.
"I better get in touch with random" Lailyana thought. reaching into her pocket she pulls out her commlink.
"Random its lail, are you there?" the Caldari inquired.
"Hey Lailyana, I want to thank you for your efforts in this endeavor." the gruff Minmatar said.
"youre more than welcome, im waiting for recommendations on what to do next." Lailyana said.
After a brief pause Random says with an exhausted tone "head back to the bar for now, let everyone know Laude's condition, yet she is safe, I will be there shortly to track down her kidnappers."
with one hand on her hip grinning slightly, Lailyana says "Will do Random, oh and one other thing."
"Yes" he says
"Her kidnappers are in custody with what undoubtley appears to be CONCORD"
with a slight audible chuckle Random says "We will see about that, Random out."
and with that he was gone.
"****, is he planning on breaking them out only to kill them?" Lailyana thought. "I hope he knows what hes doing."
she silently questioned herself as she walked further into the station, back towards The Greater Fool Bar.

(Meta: I normally dont control characters, but with the recent brief hiatus with the holidays and such i figured to catch the story back up I would ask questions in the story which normally arent asked, I hope this is accetable)

Ishtanchuk Fazmarai
#2748 - 2013-11-30 22:52:53 UTC  |  Edited by: Ishtanchuk Fazmarai
Ishtanchuk Fazmarai was back at the bar after taking a relaxing bath and a massage from Indahmawar. Albeit she considered herself a good thinker, she was not a fast thinker, and she had had too many emergencies and emotions in a single day. All she wanted was to relax and deal with some pending mattters... one of them, right now as she walked to meet Succus.

"Hi, Succus"
"Hello, mistress Fazmarai"
"Today has been a long day, and I hope it's over already"
"It's been quite busy, yes"
"Succus, I wanted to thank you for your work with the CONCORD agents. You saved our ships and probably Laude's life, but I don't dare to ask how you did it"
"I'm sorry, mistress Fazmarai, but if you asked me... I would had to lie to you. It was just my job"
"Anyway, it's been a god job. And I wonder, why did you did it? If you're so... resourceful... why did you accept to work for me, of all people?"

Succus looked at Ishtanchuk Fazmarai. Albeit he wasn't taller than average, she was quite shorter, and he had noticed how she was entering his personal space so he had to look down to see her face. Her beautiful reddish face, with the lovely almond eyes, so warm and always a bit sad. Her nose, large but cute and well proportioned. Her lips, thick and moist... How could he say?

"I just made my choice and I chose you, mistress Fazmarai. I've had many masters, some for very long. I usually pick them based on my preferences. So I chose you when it was time to pick a new master"
"You prefered me? Why?"
"Mistress Fazmarai..."
"Yes?"
"You're very close to me", whispered Succus.
"Is that wrong?"
"It is not appropiated"
"The way you've been looking me these last weeks, was it appropiated? Was that why you picked me?"
"You are very atractive, mistress Fazmarai"
"And...?"
"Under different circunstances, I would hope to do more than look at you"
"And what woud those circunstances be?", asked Ishtanchuk, closing enough so Succus felt her bosom on his chest.
"Maybe in the future...", said Succus, and then he gave a quick glimpse at the bar before taking Ish's face with his hands and touch her lips with his.
"I'll be waiting those other circunstances", answered Ishtanchuk, quickly kissing back Succus. Then he pressed her against him and kissed her again, and Ish opened her mouth for him as she closed her eyes to enjoy his kiss. Succus kissed her slowly, keeping an eye on the surroundings, caressing her hips and her ass. Then he said:

"You will be the first and only to know, mistress Fazmarai"
"Ishtanchuk. Call me Ishtanchuk" she said, looking straight into his eyes. Then something changed and Ishtanchuk saw how he concealed whatever was in his eyes (desire? concern? else?), and Succus gently pushed her away.
"Until other circunstances, Ishtanchuk".

As Ish left from behind the bar, Succus looked at her swaying body. Then he saw movement at the stairs leading to the appartments, and saw Random McNally walking down, carrying his boarding axe leaned on his shoulder. He almost smiled at the thought of what weird things could be seen at the bar, but then his experience took the reigns: Why was he wearing gloves?

"Mistress Fazmarai!", Succus shouted.
"Yes?", answered her, turning around and smiling.
"I thnk Mr. McNally is going to put himself in trouble"
"What?"
"He's carrying that axe again and looks like he intends to use it"

Ishtanchuk saw the massive Minmatarr opening the exit door and she ran to him. Then she grabbed his elbow and said:

"Random! What do you think that you are doing?".

Random notice the pressure on his elbow and turned around, meeting the petite Khanid woman.

"i'm just going to store my axe back", he said with a neutral voice.
"And those gloves?"
"You should not mess with this matter, Ishtanchuk"
"What are you going to do? Why hasn't Yiole stopped you?"
"Yiole is gone. I wonder why you didn't know..."
"She's gone? But, we hadn't talked about that... I figured that she would stay here, like Indahmawar, albeit they had no license..."
"Hmph. That's another matter. Now, please, will you move away and don't mess with my business?"
"i'm sorry, but I won't do it if your'e going to mess with something Yiole wouldn't approve"
"And what will you do to stop me?", smiled Random, looking down at her as she stood in his way with her hands on her hips...

Random glared down at Ishtanchuk; there was an audible creak in the leather wrappings of the enormous boarding axe. “Ish, I need you to move out of my way, please.” Random said, sidestepping the petite Khanid woman. He scowled when she matched his step and continued placing herself in his path. He sighed, and sidestepped again only to continue to be blocked by Ish, hands on hips.

“Ish, I don’t want to hurt you, and I wont intentionally, but you will move out of my way.”

“I wish to know what you intend to do, Random.” She said with the aloof voice of her Khanid ancestory. “I would rather you didn’t hurt anyone.”

“Ish, I intend to check on Laud…” Random started.

“You do not need your axe for that.” Ishtanchuk interrupted.

“AND, then I intend to find the people responsible and segregate their implant’s integrated circuits.” Random finished calmly.

“Yiole would not approve of this.” Ish huffed, staring hard at Random.

“Yiole is not here!” Random growled in a tone that became dangerous. “As a matter of fact, I do not know where she went. I don’t not know if she’ll come back. I don’t know how sincere she was during our time together. I know absolutely nothing.” Random’s growl grew in intensity and with each statement, he stepped forward causing Ish to move back.

“She loves you! She said so!” Ish said, holding up the datapad. “I know her well enough to know that she needs a little time. She will come back.” Her voice softened and she placed her hand on Random’s chest, trying to will warmth and patience into the towering Matari.

Random lowered the head of the axe. He lowered his face and scowled darkly. He paused for a moment, contemplating what Ish said. She removed her hand from his chest with a look of concern. She had temporarily pacified the bull, but was it enough?

Random sprang forward and grabbed Ishtanchuk about the waist. He easily lifted her petite form from the ground and took two steps to the nearest chair. Ish felt the corded muscles of his chest and arm and the heat from his body; the man was an oven. He held her tightly, but not tightly enough to hurt her. She brought her hand up and slapped him hard across the face. Random flinched, but made no other response. She slapped him hard again, using as much force as her leverage would allow but other than the flinch of the impact, he made no motion nor made any sound. He gently sat her down in the chair, and then strode purposely to the exit.

Ish cast a concerned look to the exit that Random had just passed through and then turned back to Succus. She noticed that he had been watching intently and with smooth practiced motions, was re-holstering his side arm.

Laudenum Hayes
Lucifer's Hammer
A Band Apart.
#2758 - 2013-12-04 17:57:58 UTC
Laudenum awoke slowly from the initial doses of the sedative. She felt the pain, but the fuzzy feelings simply made them not relevant. She raised her hand and saw that she had been bandaged, probably stitched. Her head fell back on her pillow and she closed her eyes. She really needs to stop being so rough on her clones.

A gentle cough brought her from her revelry and she opened her eyes. Groggily, she searched for the source of the cough and her eyes settled on Matokin Lemant. She shrieked and jarred as if struck by lightning. She moved up the bed to the headboard and began righting herself, a look of pure terror on her face. She began pulling the I.V.’s from her arm, all the time moaning and screaming.

Lemant raised his hands, making quieting sounds. “Damn it Hayes, keep your voice down!”

A nurse stuck her head into the room and saw the hysterical woman and the man who had distanced himself. “What the hell is going on here?” she barked, moving to calm Laud as she clawed at the tubes. The on duty head nurse stepped in and moved between the red head and the intruder.

“I’m sorry, ma’am.” Lemant began, “I’m afraid there has been a misunderstanding.” He reached into his jacket and produced his RSS identification. “I’m RSS agent Lemant. I came here to ask Ms. Hayes a couple of questions but I’m afraid that I’ve upset her.”

The head nurse looked at the credentials and nodded her head. “Alright,” she began as she handed the papers back to Lemant, “YOU stand there,” She pointed to a far section of the room, “until we get her calmed.” Lemant moved to where she had indicated and the two nurses worked on quieting and sedating the hysterical woman. After a few minutes and a healthy dose of medication, Laudenum was lying quietly on the bed, her eyes fluttering as the sedatives began to take effect.

“You!” the head nurse pointed at Lemant. “Make your questions quick. She won’t be awake for long and then I want you out of my recovery, get me? I have no qualms whatsoever about having a couple big orderlies escort you out.” The nurse had leveled a look that would crack rocks. Lemant smiled and nodded. “Why does there always have to be trouble on my shift…” she said as she stepped out.

Lemant stepped up to Laud and she seemed to recognize the RSS officer. She moaned slightly but it was easy to tell that the drugs prevented her from making any sudden actions.

“Please don’t take me.” She said, starting to weep.

“I won’t.” Lemant said quietly. “I wanted to apologize… to say I’m sorry. I am shamed for what I did.” He lowered his face and said “I know what I did was wrong. Morally wrong and culturally reprehensible. “He shuddered, as if experiencing something that shook him to his very core. “I don’t expect you to forgive me, but I had to look you in the eye and say that ‘I’m sorry’.”

Laud’s expression softened. “You got me out. I don’t know if I can forgive you, but you did get me out.” Her words slurred. “How did you get away?”

He chuckled softly. “My RSS I.D. is still valid. I claimed it was a ‘sting’ operation. Undercover. The truth will come out soon but it gave me enough time to come to you and let you know that I was lost. I did something very stupid. You showed me that I was Matari and that we never give up.” He took her hand gently and placed a kiss on it. She blushed slightly.

“Stay as long as you can and watch over me.” She said, dropping deeper into the drug haze. “I want to talk … to you…more.”

Lemant placed Laud’s hand down as she drifted into unconsciousness. He pulled a chair close to her bed and whispered, “I think I’ll stick around, Hayes.” He slid into the chair and prepared himself for a nice quiet wait.

“Sir. SIR!! You cannot bring that in here!”

Lemant looked up in time to see the door open and Random look back, holding the boarding axe.
Matokin Lemant

Random burst into the room just as Matokin stood up with such speed that the chair he was sitting in fell back against the wall. The fire in the eyes of the matari Matokin knew what he was here to do.

“I don’t want any trouble Random...I know that you want to kill me and if I was in your place I would most likely feel the same way. However I only came here to apologize to your sister for my actions during recent events. “Matokin’s tone was cool yet confident one that showed he was not afraid of Random but wanted to avoid any sort of confrontation with the other Matari.

Random stood intently quite for a second before lurching forward toward Matokin stopping just short of arms reach.

“Apologize ha!” Random scolded “Apologize for taking my sister from the bar. Apologize for holding her against her will in some sell on that scorpion. Apologize for traumatizing her.”With each thing random listed off his grip on this boarding axe tightened and his tone became more ominous.

“Your dam lucky I am even having this conversation with you Lemant and if my sister wasn’t in this room we probity wouldn’t be.” Random said looking over at the now sleeping Laudenum.

“I know you care deeply about your sister Random and I can respect that, however you need to calm down or the orderlies will throw us both out and she will be alone again.” Matokin said while glaring at random.

Random interrupted “No orderly will keep me away from my sister!” intentionally raising his voice so as the recovery area staff could hear him.

“Stop shouting or you will wake her “Matokin said taking a step toward Random. Pausing for a second he continued “Look your sister asked me to stay so she could talk to me some more but I will gladly leave this area if that is what you want. She needs rest and the two of us going at each other like this is not helping any”

“That is just some more of your lies” Random protested. “There is no reason my sister would ever want to see you again much less talk to you, but you are correct about one thing she does need her rest and for her sake...” Random said looking once more at the sleeping Laudenum. Then looking quickly back at Matokin” ...your own I suggest you leave until I can talk with Laud and figure all this out.” His tone once more turned into an ominous one.

As Matokin wearily stepped past Random on his way out of Laudenum’s room he quickly looked over his shoulder back at Laudenum saying to himself “I hope you can talk some sense into him... Laud if not then things won’t end well for either of us”

Calling back as he was leaving the recovery area Matokin said “I will be in the waiting area Random but I don’t know for how long...”

Random had no idea what Matokin meant by that but he had a pretty good idea, but he said to himself “I am sure as hell not about to wake my sister up for you”

Just then Laudenum started to stir and briefly opened her eyes “Random is that you...where is Lemant please tell me you didn’t.” she asked still slurring her words from the haze of the medication.

Lailyana Enaka
State War Academy
Caldari State
#2760 - 2013-12-05 03:36:31 UTC
Lailyana finally arrived back at the bar, looking exhausted and slightly weak, she wearily places her vest on a nearby rack, placed her hand on the wall and took a deep breath.

"its over." she thought.

it had been weeks since the Caldari had seen any sort of action like that, action, that was only compounded by the fact it was her friends in trouble, not somebody anonymous flying and hailing anybody on comms for help. Gathering her strength she picks herself off the wall, turns around and notices familiar faces and some new faces. acknowledging them, to tired to carry on a cheerful conversation, Lailyana walks up to Ish and gives her a hug.

"Hey ish, can i take a shower, I dont have a room here for myself yet.
"yes you may hun right this way." ish said leading lail into an adjoining room

"do you know where random is, or how laude is doing?" Lailyana asked with a frazzled tone
"I dont know about laude but i can tell you random is going to get in trouble." ish said in a concerned tone.
"Ill find him and see what i can do to stop this madness and get to the bottom of this all, right now i need some rest." lailyana said stretching.
"I will leave you to your privacy." Ish Said turning and walking out of the room.

As Lailyana starts getting undressed she starts thinking back to the past few days events, what was real, and what seemed almost to good to be true. The RSS man taking laude and holdng her captive was real, herself, ish, random, and succus risking evreything to get Laude back was real.
"so why all of a sudden did the RSS man known as lemant capture that scorpion and turn in that woman?" she thought as the hot water ran through her hair down her body.
"was that a diversion away from him or was he a pawn trying to help laude at the end?" the theory both startled and intrigued her. Quickly turning off the water and getting dressed in a fresh set of clothes she grabs for her commlink.

"hey, i know we havent seen eye to eye in the past, but i need your opinion on something, something that while you are not apart of any longer, but can still offer great insight to, please, if you get this come meet me, im sending you the coordinates now." she said softly into her commlink, setting it down beside her and gently sitting on a nearby chair, waiting for a reply...

(meta: if nobody has an issue with it, I would like to introduce somebody else into the story, please let me know what you think, if the existing story is fine without any additional characters im fine to leave it out, the ending of my post could go both ways and i have ideas on going either direction with it.)
