First off I want to thank CCP for the awesome patch. ISIS is pretty cool and actually having a use for the interceptor is good also! Also awesome job the re-skin of the drop down menus, It's much better in my opinion (a lot smoother looking). Finally thank you for the DX11 I'm noticing some performance increases over DX9 which is always nice. Big smile

Now on to the problem, I've asked around my corp and other people in local along with a few of my friends, and everyone seems to have the issue. The Microwarpdrive has a spool up sound, well it has always been there and before it was rather quiet and nice. Roll Now however for whatever reason it's decided to make itself known and spool my ear drums into a world of pain. Shocked

I know, I know just turn off the sound. Sad Well I personally like the sound of Eve and I would like to keep it on, granted this could be fixed. What? I've tried repairing the client, it repairs with out issue. I even installed the client on a different computer and got the same result.

This is the sound.

I'm posting this here thinking perhaps others may have the same issue and figured out a fix besides muting the sound. Maybe I'll even get some help from good ol CCP. (doubt it) Cry

I'm unsure rather something has been posted about this already, as when I tried to use the search engine provided on the forums it gives me an error message. Along with the same story when I try to use the dev one. If this needs to be moved then sorry for posting it in the wrong spot.

TLDR Ver: FIX Microwarpdrive sound it hurts me ears! Shocked

Pretty sure your avatar's shirt is broken.

That's not how shirts work.

EDIT: Maybe its the lighting. Its like you're some kind of tit-magician. Defying the laws of physics with your frontal anatomy. You're probably a witch.

I didn't even know that MWDs made sound. Maybe those things on your chest are amplifying the sound, the way the fatty tissues in the head of a sea-mammal allows them to use echolocation.

Yup, confirming that the MWD spool up sound will play any time you enter grid where someone has a MWD active. Furthermore, the MWD spool down sound will play any time you leave a grid where someone has a MWD active.

I've been asking around and I thought I was the only one that had this issue. Glad to hear I'm not.

Video for those who don't believe.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Yes, thank you. This is exactly the sound I'm talking about I'm going to edit this in on my main post.

Yes, it also plays over and over again in populated areas, I'm sitting in a trade hub and I've heard it countless times over the past 10 minutes.

Just turn off the sound and make your own cool noises. That's what I do.
