Lego - Talos Battlecruiser

Hi there !

I made this Talos with Lego Digital Designer. It is my first creation, around 590 pieces for the ship + ~60 for the UCS-like stand. i hope you'll enjoy it !

What is lego designer? If fits free I will design things as well. Are we able to have lego send us the proper pieces for an item we created?

Everytime you read this you are required to send 100 million isk directly to me.

Always fun to see Lego builds from EvE ships! Used to play alot with lego's in my youth (self-created sci-fi themes Big smile )

As much as I like the idea of the LEGO sets being made, sadly the last review didn't pan out well for it - while there are are thousands of people that potentially can buy the model, EVE is still, frankly, a very niche game in terms of size.


Yes, we have lots of known publicity but the player base is around, what, 500k strong? That's nothing compared to the audience that WoW / WoT has, and sadly until we can get numbers that high, I don't think we'll ever see such models made.

However, if a company were to invest in EVE based toy goodness, they would see a significant sales boon from just 0.007% of the planets population...

Lego digital designer can be downloaded here, its a freeware developed by Lego. this model can be built with the version 4.3.6 - brick version 1182 in Digital Designer Extended mode. (with the red bricks)

Some time ago, Lego allowed people to export a xml file with the list of part and purshase the whole list. But this functionality seems to have disappeared. (probably because peoples can make a lego 10240 X-wings from starwars in LDD and buy it for lot of $$$ than the original version ! i know, i made it ! and the 10227 b-wing too ! <3<3<3)
In the same way, a automated instruction generator is in LDD but you just can export a HTML version. the PDF-one is not working. (or i'm dumb) ( <- probably)

The instructions can be downloaded here (html instruction pack.zip) in HTML it is not easy to read ("ctrl +" is your friend)
You can also dl the model here (modele.zip) and use the inbuilt-LDD instruction-generator. (shortcut "F7") It is good !

I'll try to put this talos on lego.cususoo.com, that cost nothing ^^

I will try some other models. This one was a try, i fell in love with the new arts work of the kronos and i would like to make one in a reasonable scale (2*2 for larges guns is the scale ^^)

I listen for caldari's player and 'll probably take a shot on the Raven. interesting shape !
