Regarding this: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2724101#post2724101

So idea is next to zoom or next to overheat buttons near you ship display, add a button that says anchor.

What it does?
Ship Max Velocity Bonus - 100%
Could disable warp drive or could be canceled automatically by warp drive activation, maybe add option for this in game settings.
This wouldn't be a module, just game functionality.

Why would you want that?
To limit drifting around, sometimes we miss click and drift around, you double click on your overview, maybe in space and you start heading there, would be nice to have button to keep my ship in one spot if I want to

And before the trolls start, you would still be bumpable, so this isn't to limit bumps or something, this is just a control to limit your own input in order to keep your ship in place. It's a small change, but could improve gameplay in my opinion, and wound't take like more then few minutes to implement.

EDIT: Again, THIS IS NOT FOR ANTI-BUMPING. Also, this will not decloak AFK cloakers in system, go to other threads for that.

If you can still be bumped, I don't see the point. Let it increase mass (or change the inertia modifier) so the ship is properly resistant (or immune) to bumping but with the drawback that you cannot activate any modules with the anchor in place and that activating it will deactivate any modules that are currently in use. Also make it a proper module of its own that has a cycle timer (and a weapons timer) and skill requirements. The weapons timer is because I can see some edge cases where abuse might be possible.

Since it's kind of like a prop mod (an inverse prop mod, perhaps?) it can go in a midslot.

Last thing: Any version with a mass increase will need to somehow disable docking/jumping/wormhole activation while running. I'm sure it's something CCP can code up, but it bears mention since bastion was initially intended to eliminate being bumpable but carried with it the threat of being used to collapse wormholes.

Read again, this is just switch to disable user double click movement action, nothing else, same as reset camera button for which you don't need to buy camera drone, put in your cargo hold and launch a new one when you want to change the angle, same deal with this

+1 for this idea, I used to have a semi broken mouse and I was constantly messing up my gate cloak when looking around to analyse a camp.

Although 1 alteration I would say is remove the -100% velocity, rather keep the ship doing what it was doing before you pressed the button, this - again going back to my broken mouse - would have saved me so much frustration when I was constantly breaking orbit around the anchor.

This is a terrible thread. As such, it's locked. - CCP Falcon

well my beef is that radial menu is usefull for making bookmarks on the fly, but then again it opens in situations where its not supposed to open and you end up selecting all kinda of crap.

and yea, had the broken mouse double click as well a year ago, was pain with sentries :)

and I can't be the only one who sometimes missclick in space, I've seen more then plently people in fleets drifting around aways from drones, fleets, reps, especially that one guy in cloaky bomber when he drifts away and then I end up blowing my own fleet member :)

If you notice, I did read. I said that if all it does is keep you immobile without any other effect, I don't see the point. The rest of my post was dedicated to suggesting and explaining a way to improve your idea.

As for the radial menu, if it opens at bad times you can increase the delay on it or change the trigger to something other than the left-click.

Anything with anti-bump effect would change the game to much.
My personal view, smaller class ship shouldn't be able to bump 2 classes larger class ship, but that's not what I'm suggestion here, just to be clear on that.
