Mid sec is the lower half of high sec between 0.5 and 0.7. This region would be converted over to almost no NPC involvement space. The process has already started with POS and POCO being allowed in this region and would continue with the following changes.

Player Owned Stations

All stations in this region would be transfered to Corp/Alliance ownership. Once it is owned, the owner can adjust tax rates for services based on standings. The owner cannot prevent players from docking with the station unless the player is currently marked as hostile. The station would come with a base maintenance fee and basic functions including; Fitting, Market, and Personal Hanger. Additional services could be installed at an increaed maintenance fee. These would include; Medical, Repair, Refining/Reprocessing, Offices, Manufactureing/Research, and Agents.

Agents

Agents from these stations would become tradable assest that can be "installed" at a station for player use. The agents would have an upkeep cost based on the number and level of agents installed at that station. Rewards, LP, and Standings would be granted by the corporation that originally owned the agent. Players would have to go to a high sec station owned by the same corporation to cash in LP.

Concord

Concord would only respond to ship on ship violence, All Ship on structure violence would only give the aggressor a criminal flag. This would mean that player policing would be required to protect assets like stations, POSes, and POCOs.

why can't I stop seeing mittens control several stations in an area and running an ice embargo at the same time. That way for the miners who live they either get taxed to death or risk having haulers shot down for a chance at extra isk.

Don't say the bears and empire dec "pvp'ers" can fight back. Either would be out of empire running in or against the blob if they had the ambition to now. Well that and bigger crews have tried and failed to roll goons. Test had the numbers even to show some promise and that did not pan out well. Just not seeing bears, gankers and empire dec bears uniting to fight the good fight in the 1000's needed.

Goons just one of many...I'd see the russians, N3 claiming a few empire stations as well for added revenue.

NPC stations are isk sinks. CCP likes to have them in game. Mittens and others can find their own cash cows.

Screw that. The null alliances have more than enough room to play in...

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

I doubt that many null sec alliances would want to waste the time and money on a series of stations that can easily be boycotted just to try to screw with mid sec players.

Then you don't know the nullsec alliances very well.

Yup, just like null sec alliances wont bother with high sec POCOs.Roll

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Same principle as every suggestion of the likes:

- Everything made to help trial players is abused by veteran players, often to harass the very trials;
- Everything made to help new sub players is abused by veteran players, often to harass the very new sub players and trial players;
- Everything made to help individuals and small corps is abused by big alliances, often to harass the very individuals, small corps, trial and sub alike;

There is no way to change it because the one equilizer force that could exist favors the unequality. Empire space should serve as a soveregnity space for new players and small corps, so they could enjoy a taste of the things huge alliances have in null sec, having to pay taxes and gather LPS, and even fight for said empires. That seems to have been the idea. But it is poorely executed leaving too much power in the hands that will more certanly abuse them to harm the very own new and small corp players.

And you suggest they put even more power on such hands...

Very interesting.

Or highsec in general. They have absolutely no interest in highsec at all. Roll

Shouldn't we rather concentrate on fixing/improving 00 and low sec instead of creating ever more space where the player intervention fails and just limits players in playing the game?

There is enough space to colonize by players already and most of it is dead space. This should be fixed (to some extent, as I don't want to see every 00-system turn into Jita) to make all systems viable and worth visits instead of just sit around in a very limited number of systems.
