Injection of a skill when its prerequisite isn't yet trained.

A simple request (OK, in terms of the software, probably horrendously complicated): If I have prerequisite skills injected but not trained up to the correct level, I should still be able to inject a successor skill, only being allowed to train it to level 1 if level 5 (or whatever the prerequisite skills are) are also in the skill queue.

Motivation: I have six hours to go until I get level 5 of Laboratory Operation on a character of mine. I can only inject the advanced skill after this has trained to 5. As I have to go to work and can't inject this skill to the queue, I need to add a different skill to the queue and then swap them out when I get home.

So in brief: You should be able to inject any skill and you should be able to queue it to train to level 1 if its prerequisites are in the queue at the required level.

I'm cool with this.

I am the Zodiac, I am the stars, You are the sorceress, my priestess of Mars, Queen of the night, swathed in satin black, Your ivory flesh upon my torture rack.

Seconded. I had been irritated many times by not being able to change skills due to work / sleep / etc. and thus having longer time before reaching some particular goal.

This would be great!

Halfway through the last pre requisite sounds fair to me, providing its under 24 hours the Injected skill should be trained next.

You have demonstared that have commited to the next skill, so why the heck not!

Honestly, I am opposed to this idea as is:

Why you might ask?

Because there is an opportunity cost associated with transporting and moving skill books around. If that skillbook is in your head, you aren't risking it. Furthermore, I can no longer get my hands on it by destroying your ship.

I realize that many people often avoid situations where they are likely to lose skillbooks, and I realize many people can still make profit from transporting skillbooks to a location where you need them. However, it still removes the personal risks you take in keeping that skillbook nearby. I personally don't see a good reason to remove this risk, so how do you plan to re-introduce that risk to yourself?

(One potential idea: If you get podded, and you have untrained skills in your head, they are lost.... gone... no more... and you have to go rebuy them and re-inject them).

I'm +1 the OP, assuming that a 2 day old toon can't inject a titan skillbook. As long as there is say a 24 hour grace period which you can inject it and put it in the queue, people would still be moving skillbooks around.

Maybe once you inject the skill, you have 24 hours to meet the prerequisites or you lose the preinjected skill.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

or you can inject ONLY if you are within the 24 of being able to start training it.

this also solve the issue without being able to pre-inject a 2 year skillplan
