On November 16th at 17:00 EVE Time, CCP will be organizing an official New Player Training Session PVP fleet. We invite all new players to attend these fleets, which will be organized and run by CCP Community developers with assistance from our ISD STAR team. We hope to teach new players about the basics of fleet PVP and warfare. We promise to roam the cluster and look for good fights and probably all die gloriously in a fire. If you are interested in participating in these fleets, here is the information.

  • Four fleets will be formed in each empire’s space. You may come to any fleet, regardless of your character’s race. The fleets will gather in the following locations:
  1. Amarr - Bagodan I - HZO Refinery Mining Outpost
  2. Caldari – Litiura I - Caldari Constructions Production Plant
  3. Gallente – Alentene V - Moon 4 - Duvolle Laboratories Factory
  4. Minmatar – Ivar IX - Moon 4 - Brutor tribe Bureau

  • You may come in any ship you wish, but we highly recommend coming in a cheap, tech 1 fast frigate. If you do not wish to risk your own ship, we will be providing frigates at each rally point. The frigates will be tech 1 frigates of the race for the rally point and will be fit with meta 1 modules. We will offer a choice of a combat ship, EWAR ship, or logistics ship. You may only take one ship.

  • We will be limiting fleets to 100 people in order to keep the fleets manageable. If more than 100 people come to one fleet rallying point, we will direct some to travel to another rally point. In the event there is a massive turnout, we may form secondary fleets that will be led by ISD STAR.

  • Any player is welcome to come, regardless of their character age. However, younger players will be given preference for joining the fleets if we reach our caps.

  • We will begin gathering players at 17:00 EVE Time with the intent to depart at 18:00 EVE Time. We will fill the fleets on a first-come, first-serve basis (with the above caveat for character age).

  • We will utilize EVE Voice to issue fleet commands to players. We highly recommend you have a headset or speakers to listen to commands. However, in the event you do not or cannot, we will also be using fleet chat and fleet broadcasts to relay commands.

  • Any attempt by players to join the fleets to spam or otherwise disrupt proceedings will be dealt with harshly.

  • Please be aware that by joining the fleets, you agree to the following risks:
  1. You may lose security status for firing at other players.
  2. You may gain negative standing with other player entities for attacking them.
  3. Any ship you bring and all of the assets in its cargo hold might be destroyed by other players and lost, so please only bring what you can afford to lose.
  4. Your pod may be destroyed, so please make sure your clone is up to date and you are willing to lose any implants you have plugged in.

Only one question, do you really feel CCP and Eve voice are up to the challenge?

Will you be covering how not to jump into a gate camp?

Fix POSes.  Every player should want one (even if all players can't have one).

Hilarity of this week aside,

Best wishes that this is a resounding success. Eve needs more gun boats prowling the space lanes Pirate

Yes. I am confident we can pull it off.

If we happen to run into a gate camp, hopefully we'll kill it. We will have proper scouts and whatnot too.

Frigates? Tech 1 ships?

You really expect to take on a gate camp in t1 frigates?

Another troll. Where are you taking the newbies this time? Wormhole exploration in a C6?

LMAO.

Please stream this event it should be a good show to watch on twitch.

@CCP Eterne

As a 9.9YO character I'm guessing I'd just be bumped right out of the door (which is a shame) but as a Logistics Pilot would there be a case whereby once the lesson is concluded and the roam begins (I imagine that's what will happen) that others can get in to support and hopefully keep some newbies on the field a little longer than they might have been?

Own Tech1 Logi ship would be brought to stick to the flava in fleet OFC but would like to know your thoughts on this. If I can't get in\get bumped I'd love to maybe expose some of the new guys to what Logi's do (and by that I mean repping them back from near ship loss) and that it's not all about the KB Smile

"LogiBros = BestBros o/\o "

EDIT: Or that the Logi gets alpha-ed of the field and that all the combat pilots should feel bad for the LogiBro Club lol.

The Gallente fleet was welcomed into low sec by Brave Newbies Inc, was a lot of fun and we all got to die properly.
