Things to improve to screw a live event even more

Jimatar Citizen> i must say i did not expect much from the event yet they still managed to disappoint me

So question goes to you. What could have been worse than what happened yesterday?


  • make people seek their own routes through wormholes
  • have smartbombs waiting at every gate
  • fleet doctrine will be freighters
  • only festival launchers allowed, no snow ball launcher
  • destination will be 1j from Jita
  • announce the event 4 weeks in advance (might not count since people will actually forget about it and dont show up)
  • super enforce random nodes along a low/null route so they run at 600% speed
  • fleet invites cost 30m isk
  • only one-legged deaf mute pirate fcs allowed
  • date will be on a weekend
  • will be during US/EU primetime


chose one or more of the above and/or add your own ideas

It's hard to imagine just how they could have made things any worse for the majority of their real money subscriber base..
when you deliberately bore them to death and then arrange for them to be murdered, anything else is just dancing on their grave.

"Here, warp in 10% tidi for hours. Here, jump into this spike. You know what, I'm just going to finish the event that I was supposed to lead 2000 ships to while there's only 100 ships here. More could be coming, but... man, this is boring."

Firing someone would imply that it was not part of the company culture, far better to call them into the office and read the riot act, suspend parties, and take their toys away until they learn not to disenfranchise their paying customers.

I like paid invites idea. Just must be paid in aurum/PLEXes - or better GTCs / $$$.
