Are there any details published yet, from any pilots which made it to either of the two event systems?

I'm curious to learn what the explosion was?
We're anymore details learned once in system?

There was a lot of speculation that this was going to be an intro to the Ghost Sites, but I've heard nothing concrete.
Was the speculation accurate, or was this something entirely new?
From what I've heard bits and pieces of, it sounds like more NPC's may now be represented as capsuleers themselves. Is this accurate?
The hub-ub also made mention to "leave wreckage for the navies", so they could "investigate". Did anyone get a look at said wreckage, and if so, what was learned?

I am very curious as to what was learned yesterday.

If this info is located elsewhere on the forums or interwebs, please provide linkys...

Thanks in advance...

The explosion was the sound of trust forever disappearing, Due to the Playerbase being CCPd

Word on the street is that CCP self-destructed the structures and left before the capulseers could meaningfully interact with them. Whether this was done out of boredom, because their workday was over, or they just wanted to get to the party upstairs, your guess is as good as mine.

The ghost site installations were very well defended. The defenders had time to get everyone (and their research) off of the installation, after which they scuttled it to prevent it from eventually being taken. It's exactly what I'd have done in their shoes.

^^ Thank you.

Did anyone notice anything special about the defenders? (NPC's)
It may be a stretch, but did anyone happen to notice different behaviour from rats, or perhaps stronger tanks than normal?
Did the rats hit harder, because of sheer numbers, or was it just overwhelming damage output, by rats on the field?
Did anyone have an opportunity to scoop wrecks, or salvage from any of the defending ships, if so, any clues?
Were there any other COSMIC SIG'S other than the objectives in either of the systems?

I'm sure we'll all know in a couple of weeks, but still curious.

WTF have you been the last 36hrs? We were CCPd and that's what matters the most right now. On a side note I'd like to see how the "event story" pans out but I think CCP might be a little bit busy right now...hopefully not FC'ing any fleets or getting their teams CCPd while we await a response.

I'm sorry you feel cheated by CCP, but I didn't have anything to do with how the event was organized.

I was not at the event, and I am only hearing second hand how difficult it was for pilots that aren't used to TiDi.
I agree TiDi is very frustrating.
I agree (from what I've heard, and vids I've seen) that some things could have been handled better.

As far as pilot concerns over not having guidance or help from the Navy Fleets or CCP Pilots running with you:
I'm looking at all of the event adverts, and some of the chat logs posted from the event, and I can't find anywhere it lists that you would be immune from other ships in Null Sec.

I hear a lot of pilots complaining about not being able to be bridged directly into the event system. Rubbish!
Unless of course Angels, or Intaki offered the same service for their capusuleer fleets as well. Then it would still be rubbish, only slightly less so.

I'm asking legitimate questions, and I started a separate thread. So, if you don't mind, leave your CCP hate elsewhere, and don't hijack the thread. Big smile

It would seem that the hate is related to your thread, so it's not really being hijacked.

CCP promised an "Event" to the players. But instead of an event the players that joined were "CCPd". "Events" are supposed to be pieces of storyline delivered in game. The Idea is to experience it instead of just read it. However this "event" was not delivered. Instead of a storyline event, there was just a mass funneling of non-pvp pilots into the open arms of organized (organized enough) pvp-exclusive groups. If you've never pvped before you have no idea what to expect or what to do. With a CCP sponsored event I'd assume the majority of pilots felt like they'd have at least a little bit of support. But of course that was a misconception. The tidi of course would just be the icing on the cake.

The promised "Event" did not happen. The lore would have been just as, if not more, successfully delivered with an addition to a wiki page instead. And I may be wrong, but I highly doubt that many if any of the pvp entities that "sided with the pirates" knew or cared about the story. Had no ping gone out i'm sure everything would have ended up exactly the same anyways. There was really no chance for this to have ended up differently anyways, but based on the Tweet sent out it was obviously intentional. And of course with the tidi there was never a chance to make it in time for the storyline event in the first place, even without all the slaughtering.

All that CCP was successful in achieving was:
1. Having pvp entities fight non-pvp individuals.
2. Causing players to lose faith in in-game events.
3. Getting players to realize that not only are other players out to kill/grief/scam them, but so is CCP.

Of course this is all in regards to a storyline event. The fact that all the pilots got CCPd is of course in and of itself an event.

If they really wanted to have a good pvp event they should of just had the 2 high sec groups meet somewhere and fight each other. Would have been just a great big FFA and maybe high sec pilots could get a taste for blood. Instead they just got shown how easy they are to squash and will probably be even more pvp adverse.

Because the thread isn't about your dissatisfaction with CCP, or it's handling of in game events. The thread is a request for specific information regarding what was learned by pilots actually skilled enough to make it to the destination.

Players interested in the lore did not get time to get to the Event before CCP terminated the event. The only people actually at the event sites were a few cloaky people watching random PvP, Null Sec entities, Pirates and a couple of live streamers.
All the high sec/event fleets were still battling their way through TiDi when CCP called the event over, & self destructed the structures.

I'm sorry if you read this as a hi-jack, it was written in a tongue in cheek fashion and I was actually genuine with my wish to know about the lore story.

If you were there (and I'm not saying you weren't) then you know the frustration and none of this "rage" is regarding pilots that "aren't used to TiDi" nor were we expecting to " be immune from other ships in Null Sec" we came wanting and expecting a fight but participation in a

"unique situation. We do not foresee having to repeat this call to action."
instead we were just CCPd with "event content" tan very few actually saw apart from warp tunnel animations.

I'm sure CCP will release the news when they feel ready that it should be released but as you can tell not many people know a damn thing of what happened to the objective.

Unfortunately there is not much likelihood of finding out much, the players coming from hisec were either slaughtered or delayed in TIDI until the event was terminated.
It appears from the nullsec dwellers who were already in system that the pirates self destructed.
Your only hope may be some cloaky person may come forward, as it seems everyone in null was too busy taking advantage of the amazing gift they had been given to take any notice.

What I'm speculating from the propaganda I've seen, and the elusive "no turning back" segments we've heard:
I wonder if these Ghost Sites, will provide the resources needed for a Player Run Alliance, to run they're own Incursions?

Perhaps instead of Nation showing up to "raid" the resources of other Regions maybe the next "Incursion" will be CFC? Or PL, or N3, or insert large null power bloc here.

Or maybe, it will start as Angel Incursions, or Serpentis Incursions, and then lead into player run Incursions.
Wild speculation of course.

What would have been cool, is if pilots reported finding some kind of wreckage which eluded to the creation of large scale "Worm Hole Generator" components which didn't have a range limitation to them, or rather much larger than we're used to?

Again wild speculation, and kind of excited for this release.

My speculation and from watching the EVE Vision Road Map would be that the rubicon moment is us building our own stargates or systems and not contracting but expanding New Eden.

Took me alot of effort and lots of talking with people, but managed to get a fairly complete image of the Live event from an IC point of view:

Capsuleers respond en masse to Call to Arms, Navies fail to provide assistance!

In short: Capsuleers failed to arrive (most didn't even make it to the meatgrinders in null!) Pirates won & secured their research.

I'd like to correct the Serpentis side of things.

The Serpentis Vindicator wing, led by Launette Vylier I believe, was completely destroyed. In the end, seems the field was held mostly by CFC forces that chose to preserve the facility and give Serpentis time to evacuate.

That said it was very much fun!

Sorry, but that's just plain lazy on your part to not already know about ghost sites.
The lore side, different matter, but the actual functions of ghost sites have been public for weeks.
