Couldnt you at least forge the time stamps for fucks sake?
Arch Angels flying around with 1day old Macharial characters? they can't even pilot a macha at that age..

Check out Hritagast Vulmod ( https://gate.eveonline.com/Profile/Hritagast%20Vulmod + http://eve-kill.net/?a=pilot_detail&view=kills&plt_id=1777509 ) and his buddy Mooze Barazet https://gate.eveonline.com/Profile/Mooze%20Barazet + http://eve-kill.net/?a=pilot_detail&plt_id=1777516

This is the sort of thing that people have to complain about. How sad.

The developers gave you faction battleships to fight against, with real killmails if you destroy them and you feel the need to complain because they are newly created 'super characters'.

What?

The guy leading the Republic Fleet had a length of employment of 32 years...I thought that was really cool.

He obviously learned to fly them before becoming a capsuleer.

Or is your RP character a 3 year old child?

The Empire NPCs have actually been around for years. They have actual actors behind them, and supposedly you can contact them and perhaps get special missions or whatnot. They have story that people at CCP put actual effort into.

The Angel APCs (actor player characters?) are a nice touch and are appreciated, but them being only one day old adds to the list of reasons why many people think this was poorly planned and even more poorly implemented.

I don't think it's possible to learn piloting a ship with your mind while in pod, as a normal human.

Had a reply typed to this but apparently forgot to send it!

The lack of forged employment histories on the pirates was a concession we made to time, but also because the characters were somewhat disposable (all the "important"/recurring/well known characters had full histories) and how much does one ever really care about the background of the henchmen of a supervillain, for instance. That being said, we understood it could impact immersion which is a shame. Thanks for the feedback on it though - noted.

well it made sure what was left of immersion was burned to the ground.

time restraints as excuse srsly? i image that not being anything more than running something like #usermod --dateofbirth $(date) "Hritagast Vulmod"

There's a fine difference between minions and henchmen.. noone cares about nameless minions,
let me think of some famous villains.. Dr. Evil + MiniMe, Darth Vader + Bobba Fett, Joker + Harley Quinn, Eric Cartman + Butters Stotch, Picard + Riker, Magneto + Mystique, Megatron + Starscream, list is infinite

why should i even care about eve villains with expendable henchmens that i dont know? I don't and doubt that there were any semi famous villains that i could have known in any of the systems at all. They are just the targets during what i would like to call a roleplay event where i cannot influence the outcome anyway. So imagine anyone would have made it to the 'apc's through that mess of tidi and successfully kill them. Kb would be green, killed some 1d characters in pirate battleships for the lulz. certainly less satisfying than a good fight.
Now i get a dev reply telling me to not care about irrelevant details so why did you invite anyone in the first place if stuff doesnt matter?thanks for the reply, noted.

Everyone, take heed! A CCP dev has noticed that immersion is relevant to some portion of the playerbase! Someday you will tell stories to your poskids about this day...

Sarcasm aside, Immersion and lore building are what we expect out of these events.
If we want feature showcases we'll make our way to SiSi, and if we want nullsec gank roams we can more than easily organize those by ourselves.
