Militia pilots drop dog tags

i had an idea that upon being podded fw militia pilots drop the empire dog tags upon being podded. the tag quality would be based upon there current rank in the militia.

and to keep people from farming tags. after a set number of pod kills in a 24 hour period. you would start losing ranks in the militia.

This would be good but would have to have some safeguards in place to not go along the way of alt pod kills for bounty.

yeah thats why i suggested rank/standing loss if you get pod killed too much. or you could just cap the dog tags per day per pilot.

I'm afraid this would still get farmed. One's rank doesn't actually matter and it's quite easy to grind back up anyway so there would be abuse.

The current LP reward for FW kills doesn't get abused because it's tied to the value of the kill. This means you can't keep blowing up your own alts to make a profit because you'll always lose more isk than you gain in LP.
Pods dropping tags would lead to two newbie characters blowing each other up repeatedly, farming tags. Because nobody cares about the characters or their standings.

i was leaning more toward the pod kill cuz they are rarer and also you wear your tags not leave them in your cargo ;p. but i do see the potential farming problems. they could make it drop random tag. or it could go by the value of the ship they were in before they got podded. or they could make it that the pilot must have lost a ship within the last x minutes and then the pod will drop a tag based on that ship.
