I dont know what planet CCP live on but the new player experience is complete crap. Have you noticed? I know i have. We need to fix this, So I had an idea: for Rubicon (or before if ccp actually learn to programm) expand the role of the tutorial agent to be a computer AI thing that follows you around and makes helpful suggestions or points out good resorces to learn stuff. people always say "omg join a guild noob" but that is alot of comitment and risk for a new player and it is why so many still have'nt done it. I know I dont join a guild because its all so hostile. (I tried once and i almost lost all my stuff to awoxer dbags trying to shot in hisec)

so for the HELPER AI thing it can maybe help u by sugesting what ammo to use against npcs or pointing out when your at the wrong range. it can even have a SCAM DETECT feature to warn you if your about to fall for a scam like a isk double liar or contract scam. to appease the greifers (Roll) they can even add a price to it and make it an ISK SINK and if u still think its bad then your probably just a goon who wants eve to fail because it is ABSOLUTLY HOSTILE TO NOOBS

CMON CCP FIX YOUR GAME STOP WASTING MY MONEY ON WIS AND DO SOME REAL WORK Evil

+1 below if u agree

There should be a link to GD after they finish registration so they can enjoy the true EvE experience right from the beginning. The rest is obsolete.

Actually, Noob friendly corps arent hard to find. There arent many of them but they are well known. Just dont expect every random highsec corp to be friendly

hmmmm

The new player experience could be done better but not like that.

On a side note, dear CCP, please use your money to make proper WIS a thing.

They have spent the last few years working on the new player experience. It is now a shinning beacon of light compared to what it used to be.

Luxury bloody luxury.Lol

When I started Eve, Aura didn't exist. You newbro types have it so much better, and are so thankless. Eve is a strong "player v. player" game. Aura isn't suppose to hold your hand. CCP has developed a solid set of resources for newer players and have many employees and volunteers to assist further. Your request here for CCP to "actually learn to programm" and "DO SOME REAL WORK" is laughable and absurd.

The new player experience is cold and harsh.

Just like the game.

It could be better, but then it wouldn't properly represent the game.

This game is not about hand holding, it's about surviving long enough to blow the other guy up, that will never happen if your hand is being held.

the sheer amount of things Eve throws at you when you first start the game is absurd and stupidly over-the-top. I know that now, 6 months into the game, the amount of knowledge is fine and I know where to look for help, but if you asked me 5-6 months ago, I would be incredibly lost. And three to four months to learn a game is a pretty steep learning curve.

Really is one born every day isn't there.

Rules of EvE
1) Don't fly what you cannot afford to lose
2) Just like RL, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is
3) Never trust a Goon
4) Never trust Anyone, especially a Goon.
5) Never expect sympathy on the forums
6) Assume the CSM is not the players representative.
7) If you cheat CCP will catch you, unless you are Somer Blink at which point they will give you billions.
8) EvE is Hard, cold and nasty, get used to it.

I think that sums it up

Actually, the best thing is to have them post here and experience the pure love of the EvE-Community.

They should be introduced to things such as suicide ganking (which introduces them to being Concorded, collecting local rants, and the colorful threats of e-honor), how to set up a Double your isk Scam, Recruitment Scam and market scams.

Aslo include a mission requiring the young pilot to jump into lo-sec blind, then use an alt to see if the other side is clear.

Should have a fitting scale, where before you undock, 'Scotty' tells you that you have forgotten your helmet, and enjoy the flames on that fit.

How about we hire concierge GMs to hold new players hands for 30 days 23.75/7?

How about we make all new player accounts immune to damage for 30 days, just so they can learn PvP without losing a ship?

How about new players get everything on the market for free for 30 days so they can concentrate on the game instead of making ISK to afford things in game?

How about new players are reimbursed for any scams they fall for for 30 days as well?

How about instead we start new players out with progressively more difficult tutorials which show them how things are done, then we start them out on missions that will have levels determining their difficulty, lets say 1-5, 1 being the easiest. Lets also give new players access to a Rookie chat channel for 30 days that allows them to ask questions if theyre stumped. Lets also start them out in 1.0 systems that are protected from ganking and asshattery by ISDs. I think this is a good idea.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Amount of intoxicated people on forums today is higher than usual.

P.S. Actually how about PvP trainer for new players and related quest line - to get kill, to duel, to get podded, to be concorded etc.?

Ah, Eve is Dying. There it is.

And yes, you SPECIFICALLY asked for hand-holding in your OP, and now you say it's NOT about hand-holding? Make up your mind. The new player experience is a good tool; most of you new kids just can't be p!ssed to actually READ what is being shown you. Take the tutorials. Read the freakin' material. Want more? Read the Wiki. Use Google. Ask non-noob questions in Help Chat.

If you think this game should be holding your hand you really need to go back to WoW or Hello Kitty.

1. Agony Unleashed Combat Courses
2. Brave Newbies
3. Eve Uni

I could go on, but these are the best. I've taken a couple of the Agony classes and they are stellar. Not the inane crap like "how to get CONCORDed" or "how to start a duel", but real gang and fleet combat tactics. Look into it.
