Title says it all. Here's what I'm referring to:

I absolutely love the Collector's Edition Rifter, so I figured I'd ask about the others too Lol

That announcement is from 2008.

I'm aware. I was just wondering if they planned on /reintroducing/ them in the near future - that was just simply showing what I was referring to.

Personally, I think CCP should join forces with Tamiya to produce model ship kits. Then allow people to buy a licence to accept ISK for out-of-game services such as assembling models & painting them.

Nah. They should license the X-Wing MG system from from Fantasy Flight and produce an EVE miniatures game. P

There is room in the world for model kits and miniatures gaming!

They tried selling off all their old ship model stock for 100, 50, and finally 25 bucks before taking them completely off the market. With that in mind they STILL had over 400 to give away at EVE Vegas this year, so ya.... I REALLY don't think they want to make any more of those old solid resin style models. I got a couple and although the tempest is nice, the apoc looks like shart. Maybe as 3D printing becomes more popular, they will be able to do micro manufacturing of these, but that still leaves the issue of painting and the most likely moderate cost of the models.

BTW, the rifter USB hub that comes with the EVE: second decade boxset is absolute horsesh!t. It's made out of cheap thin flimsy and all around unfinished looking and feeling plastic. It's like the kind of toy a minmitar child would get, how ironic. It is literally the kind of crap that would make the chinese look like the japanese in quality while this stuff would be the real chinese. If CCP were to make new models, I really don't know if I'd want them....

The problem there was even at those discounted prices, to ship anywhere outside of... I think it was europe they were located...

You still needed to pay around $70 for the slowest method of post.

So a $170 ship eventually became a $100 ship.
Still more than most can justify for a plastic model.

I remember looking at a deck of playing cards. If I were to go express postage on them, it would have been around $200.

If CCP was to make a Battlefleet Gothic style miniatures game I think I'd go on a $1,000 Amarr themed shopping spree. A fleet of fully painted golden Amarr frigates with varnish to give them a "shining" effect would look badass. Though, honestly, I prefer the bigger scale models like the old collectible battleships - I really do hope they make more of those. Unfortunately, it sounds like they're slowly phasing those out judging by you guys' responses, though Ugh.

Shouldn't the title be

"Are there any plans?"
