Remember when they would post stories in the news feed. Remember that all the events that made Eve what it is today came from an amazing fiction, not X number of titans killed, Y number of players involved in Z system. CCP, you said you would bring them back. You said it would be better then ever.. You have so far, not kept that promise...

sigh.. Well, we're coming up on that 1 year mark where CCP stopped releasing the bi-weekly chronicles.

The new vinter expansion looks great, but still no beef form the fiction factory. Dust514's web site has some great reads on it, but I want my EVE fiction back!

(don't link that tired dev blog where they're talking about some wiki and more meaningful story's. I'd like a real answer to when they're coming back.)

Uhm... arent they like posting the chronicles on dust 514 for the duration of its development leading up to the live testing within eve? Either way Dust 514 is eve fiction enough. I wished they would try to intergrate the websites together instead of segregating them like this.

Dust 514's CPM 1 Iron Wolf Saber Eve mail me about Dust 514 issues.

The bi-weekly chronicles were one of my favorite parts of EVE. The Dust514 stories are great and, I'mma let you finish, but EVE Chronicles and news feeds were the best stories of all time. OF ALL TIME!

One year ago they said they would go away for a little while and then come back. I say a year is long enough

Also, they haven't been sitting on their thumbs really. The wiki itself has received dozens of new articles and tidbits of info.

Although i'll concede that's not nearly enough to compare to what we used to have.. but hey.. they can't do even that if they're sitting on their thumbs.

Unless, of course, they use voice recognition software..

The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die.

TL;DR stuff

thanks Zirse. Good to see CCP Abraxas is still floating around and that new chronicles for EVE are in the works.

I'm really hoping they go back to bi-weekly releases when all is said and done. I'm a patient man, as anyone that plays EVE must be, but mine has started to wear thin over a year of Soon™ and On the Way™ comments. While others cry over ship balances and the like, my tears are evoked by the lack of things that drew me to EVE in the first place, that dark fiction I find myself reading over and over again. DUST514 has offered some amazing reads, and to their authors I have nothing but thanks and gratitude, but EVE herself is missing that bite it once held for me. Personally, I blame it on boring news tickers and the missing fiction of old. When I first started looking into EVE in the Empyrean Age it was the internet spaceships that drew me in, but it was the ever evolving story in the news ticker and the chronicles that made me stay.

All I can do is wait for their heralded return and find comfort that what I enjoyed so much is coming back better then ever. I only hope we didn't miss to many players, like myself, along the way. Many newer players that I've flown with didn't even know the chronicles existed until I pointed them out.

Good luck, CCP. May it never be said that EVE left beta.
