Making own folders for fittings

Hey peeps

so i havent found a way to do this myself, searching has not brought anything up, and i've never heard of this idea before so: Would it be possible to create my own folders in the fittings databases? Currently fits are sorted by a ships type and class, but i'd like to be able to sort them by my own categories.

a few simple examples would be to separate PvE fits from PvP fits, noob fits from T2 fits, combat fits from mining fits etc etc

and a more complex example might be grouping fits under certain fleet doctrines, so that corpies can more easily locate fits when a fleet has a particular composition.

e.g. the folder 'Simple Roam' may have the following fits grouped underneath it:

Condor - Tackler
Talwar - DPS
Celestis - E-war

Now, forgiving that my fleet structure knowledge is terrible, i could tell corpies that we are going on a simple roam and should look under the 'Simple Roam' folder within corp fittings for what they should bring.

Thoughts?

Whilst your Idea does have merit, it may be better to be able to apply labels and then filter by label, similar to what we can do with Contacts.
Especially if you have Large Categories like PvP and PvE, being able to apply multiple labels to a single fitting would no doubt save on server space, compared to having the same fitting in 3 different folders.

Eg for your Talwar - DPS fit, it might have the "Talwar", "PvP", "Simple Roam" and "DPS" labels on it

indeed that would be better, especially with the limited fittings and all. N1

I approve of this product and/or service.

Additionally, I specifically approve of the suggestion made by Caldari 5.

I like the idea.

And if we could increase the number of fittings ontop of that it would be awesome.

If there is time for that maybe we could add a tiny cosmetic detail that should be there to the fitting browser, the "delete all" option.
Currently when you are theocrafting in a station and export your files to your fitting files and want to import them or vice versa you can "tick" them for "all fitting" or just the ones you like to "import / export" but if you want to "clear" your fitting so you can import them all back with newer fittings, you have to delete all 100 of them manually.

This takes ages and if you would have the option to "delete" them all or a "group" of them, it would make the day.

In game fitting tool and virtual testing area(not sisi) so I can test out my fits... we can travel through space but we cant test our ships on a game like test software to make sure they work before we make them.

Whilst not really about the OP, This is still effecting the GUI elements.

Agreed more fittings would be good.

Agreed some form of Mass Sync/Update/Delete would be awesome.
