Anyway, it must be said that you as a woman lack the material ability to appreciate some of Ish's nicest features...

Aeden Macrab counted mentally to five, then he said again:

- Please, can you say OK when the software asks you to authorize the new device?

He was sitting on a chair and Ishtanchuk Fazmarai was before him, seated on the ground. She had tied her hair in a ponytail that fell over her right shoulder, and was wearing a light dress with wire straps and low neck and back lines. The dress both gave her a nice decoletage and exposed all her five capsuleer plugs -and showed how she was not wearing a brasier, as Aeden couldn't miss to notice.

Aeden waited until the MiNINPU displayed a message: "No authorization could be retrieved, please, restart synchronization". Biting a curse before it left his mouth, Aeden surfed the menu and restarted the procedure, then asked Ish to stand still as he placed the MiNINPU's probe on the outer ring of one of her plugs. As the times before, he noticed how hot and smooth was her skin, and distracted himself looking at the pink tadpole-shaped burn on her left shoulder.

The logic behind linking a MiNINPU (Micro Neuronal Interface Network PlUgger) to the extremely low powered network of a slot 5 Implant was that the capsuleer should authorize the MiNINPU to be a part of the network and oversee it, but as usual the device also could be used to manage other similar networks betweeen the plugs and other implants and processing areas, and Aeden wasn't sure that he was following the appropiate procedure, even less that Ish could even understand what she should do -which anyway, was unimaginable to Aeden. He pictured himself as a deaf man attempting to explain colors to a blind person with music and a broken violin... that is, your average computer expert dealing with end users.

- Again, please... when it asks you somehow to agree to authorize a new device, will you do?
- Don't intend to sounds narky, but, accesing my pad was way easier and i could do it on my own...
- That's because they're built to plug in and play. MiNINPUs are a specialyzed device.
- Oh, and you aren't a specialist, I understand.
- Yes I am but not in this field... I am a pod interface specialist.
- Well, i don't get anything, is that right?
- No, it is not, you should be...
- My knees are starting to hurt, mind if I stretch my legs a while?

Ish stood up and started rocking her hips and torso, making turn the fullness of her skirt. Aeden wondered wether it was accidental that she had turned around and so he could see how her bosom accompanied, slighlty but noticeably, the movements of her skirt. "Large-firm-heavy", thought Aeden and focused back on the MiNINPU. Back to the main menu, he looked for help and noticed an option labeled "pad synchronization".

- Please, stand still... no need to knee down, jsut stand still so I can place the probe and try this new sub-menu...
- "New" as in "it just downloaded and installed itself a second ago"? -said Ish, making Yiole and Indah giggle.
- Hmph. Wait for a request and authorize ti, please -her skin, it was so hot... how could such small frame produce so much heat?

"Netwok plugged", announced the MiNINPU.

- Yes! That's it! Now it will monitor all activity. I suggest you carrying the MiNINPU with you at least 24 hours, just by your pad, for an instance. This way, we will know wether something is wrong with your implant's software or whatever...
- Won't that record the information exchanged between her brain and the pad, too?-asked Yiole.
- No, the exact data is not recorded... at least not the brain side. The pad side is encrypted, though.
- But you'll be able to access it?
- Well I'll need to, in case that the tracking software doesn't finds anything...
- You heared it Ish, no misbehavin' tonight or he'll know -said Yiole, kiddingly.
- I just hope it records how I sleep well and continuously all night -answered Ish. Aeden looked at her face again. Not only her eyes were baggy, but she was obviosuly sad and tired, displaying only occasional bursts of energy. Sleep deprivation was taking a toll on she even to a stranger's eyes, but still she was beautiful... not as much as Indahmawar, though. And then...

- Err, I think I should go back to the laboratories, now... have you thought about it?
- Of course, i'll fly you there -answered Indahmawar.

Yiole wouldn't be flying with them this time and she left Ishtanchuk's appartment shortly before Indahmawar and Aeden did. Aeden was rewarded, apparently, with Isk kissing both his cheek before he left, softly pressing her bosom on his chest. Then he followed Indahmawar along the station corridors, and it wasn't until a while later that he noticed that as Indahmawar had to ride the capsule, he would need to find the right ship on his own...

- Err... Indahmawar?
- Yes?
- How will I find the shuttle on my own if you're in a pod?
- Oh, that's easy... I'll request a people carrier to travel along with the pod, this way you will be riding the same vehicle as I.
- But, then i'll have to board it at a CQ?
- Well, of course. You may wait outside of the CQ while I get into the pod... or maybe don't, if you wish -said Indahmawar, and Aeden gasped. Capsuleer vixens...

- F*ck you, nerd! -shouted the gang leader when his pad ringed an alarm from his tech guy, who was charged with keeping an eye on the Fazmarai case. He had been pestering him with useless gibberish since he took over the case, as if just knowing *where* and *what* was the b*ch up was the next biggest challenge since finding the missing pairs of socks... He transfered his links to a different pad, whose line couldn't reach the "nerd pest", and kept watching TV...
